Arsenal v Tottenham Littewoods Cup Semi Final 1st Leg 1987

hi, I have the above programme dated feb 8th 1987. I assume the game was played on that date. inside the programme is a loose team sheet, was this the norm at the time? or was the match postponed and played at a later date

Original date and just a team sheet added, maybe because it was a semi final. Maybe Arsenal fans can confirm if they produced team sheets for other games.

infact it is a copy of the page in the programme apart from where the token would have been

This was a Sunday game. In the 1980s, Sunday trading laws meant clubs could not charge admission, instead they got round this by selling you a team sheet at the turnstyle (at the same price as normal admission) - then let you in free of charge. These are known as "Sunday team sheets", West Ham did this quite regularly. Not a programme (or even sold as part of the programme) but nice to collect all the same

Sounds about right , my team played a few games on sundays and similar teamsheets were published.
