Me too. Hard to explain why, but I guess it's something so familiar looking so very different.

No Prescot Cables sadly.

This is Edgeley Park, Stockport Jan 1958. Neil Franklin and player-manager Willie Moir inspecting their own pitch before heading to West Ham for a Cup tie

Spurs 1 Leeds United 1 - 14/12/1970

From my Twitter timeline - Couldn't choose between them so you have to suffer them all!

Sorry no photographs but matches played on snow covered pitches. Stoke City plated Lincoln City, February 1957, I think and N.J. Coleman, Tim Stoke's right winger scored 7 goals as they beat Lincoln City 8-0. Stoke played on a snow covered pitch, partially cleared and deemed playable and thanks to Coleman,s goals were 4-0 up at half time. Kicking towards the Boothen End Johnny King, one of my heroes, netted the fifth, Coleman added three more and missed a few others. Funny how certain games stick in the memory. Stoke who looked good for promotion that season faded badly and Coleman drew blanks for the rest of the season. Happy days.

A few from Selhurst Park.

Feb 1947, Palace v Watford

A week later, Palace v Exeter

Palace won both games without conceding a goal. That doesn't happen very often!

December 1968, Palace v Blackpool - match abandoned after 43 mins, score at 1-1 - frosty, really

2nd April 1968 (yes, April) - and the Spanish team were using Selhurst to "warm up" for next day's international at Wembley, which they lost in the 83rd minute to a Bobby Charlton goal.

FA Cup 3rd round 4th Jan 1986 Walsall v Man City at Fellows Park.

City no.7 Mark Lillis's standing foot slides from under him as he strikes the ball.

Good old Fratton Park in the snow! It's a photo of the 1954 FA Cup 4th Round Replay fixture involving Pompey and Scunthorpe. The Photograph shows Pompey goalkeeper Mervyn Gill failing to save an effort from Merfyn Jones, with Scunthorpe's James Whitfield, and Portsmouth pair Len Phillips and Jack Mansell looking on. Pompey played this tie three times, the first game at Scunthorpe finished 1 v 1, the second at Fratton Park (Pictured) finished 2 v 2, before a third game at Highbury finally saw Pompey progress with a 4 v 0 win!!

On a side note is there a particular opponent who over the years that have had more postponed games due to weather against your team?
Mine being a Manchester City fan is against Aston Villa.
We always seemed to play them December/January time going through the 40's 50's 60's 70's 80's and 90's
