I've got a nice set of 5 Sheffield Wednesday home tickets from 1969/70.

3 of them have been match used, 2 are complete. They are all in very good to mint condition.

They are against, Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton, Burnley and Newcastle. All of whom, together with Wednesday, have a large following of collectors.

I have no idea what they are worth. Would they be better sold off as singles on Flea Bay or into auction as a job lot?

What's really confused me is that a recent ebay one (not mine) went for £26 and that was for a game v Millwall from 1972.

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers Phil but I suspect/think he will be trying to get to Sheffield at the moment for tomorrows fair.

Once he gets past Preston he should be ok.

I would estimate that the used ones could sell for £2.50 each and the unused for £4 each, although they could sell for a lot more. I would list them individually on ebay if you want to maximise prices. Maybe list a couple to start with to see what prices they reach.

Well @ 99p starting price it will cost you nothing and then they are worth what they are worth. I have sold mid 60's tickets for virtually nothing and a Wolves 71/2 League home ticket for £28 v Spurs. At auction you would get next to nothing if they were in a lot, i would expect Ebay irrespective of its detractors to be the best bet. Unless you really want to keep them and want to set a minimum price to make sure. Once you list em, why not put a link here and lets all see what happens ?

If you don't want to spend any money try our auction site first, you never know.

We have a 2 quid validation fee for sellers buy I'm happy to wave that for anyone on here as most seem genuine Smile.

We don't currently get much traffic compared to "the dragon" so they may not sell at all. We do a a twitter button on each item if you use twitter you can promote it using the keywords you need.

Thanks all for the advice.

I think they are going to go on ebay, but not for a few weeks.

Had some interest, but nothing concrete yet.

Cheers

Ref: Millwall and Spurs above - two collectable sides who always go for higher prices.

Hope the tickets do well.

Do you have a link to one so I can take a look at them?
