Hi

The next Rugby League collectors fair will take place at Hunslet RLFC South Leeds Stadium a week on Saturday 15th October 10.30am - 1pm

Admission is free.

I will have a stall with thousands of rugby league programmes / magazines / books etc

See you all then

When you say selling stuff for the archives, do you mean in order to raise funds? Or is he selling stuff 'from' the archive, which might be better?! Wink. Any teasers on highlights he might have? The last few haven't been the most interesting, so trying to decide whether to use up brownie points to make the trek across town to get to this.

Likewise, any info on stall holders/whether it's the usual crew would be appreciated if anyone knows.

tend to agree, without the auction element it's been pretty run-of-the-mill stuff the last 18 months.
It might be worth the stall holders putting a few ideas on here as to what they'll have available at the event?

ie pre war yorkshire clubs, Internationals 1925-1955, Finals 1929 - 1960 etc. As much detail as possible would really help. You might even get some advanced sales!

not "1000s of rugby league programmes...all teams and eras" !

raising funds as I have given my dad some programmes to sell from clubs that don't play anymore. think some of the stuff might be Huddersfield

I know they were pants this season, but think that might offend any Fartowners on here Laughing

No point attending then!
12 stalls, no idea what's on them...great advert for this event!!

Is it really so difficult to list a few of the items you're bringing? When it had the auction part, you could check the Lots a few weeks in advance, decide to drive to Leeds / Wakefield / St Helens if it was worth your while and normally pick up the odd item off a stall. I mainly attended for the auction.

With due respect, these stalls could be full of 1970s / current season 'tat' that can't be shifted on Ebay !

So, as a final request are any of the attending stall-holders willing to publish a list of selected items / special items they may have for sale?
There are a few RL specialist collectors on here and we will travel IF the right items are going to be on sale.

+1

For info, I have contacted Steve Gaunt (contact details are on TotalRL thread on this same topic). He has confirmed "at present 14 people have been in contact to book tables, and there seems to several new names which I haven't heard of before". I've asked for further info, but have not had a response so far. If I do, I'll give an update on here.
