Yes he is very overpriced with almost all his programmes. I mean all of chelsea's home games games from the 54-55 season are definately not worth £1000 . He has had them at that price for as long as I can remember so its unlikely that they will ever sell. He seems to fill ebay pages with ridiculously high buy-it-nows that he hardly evr reduces the price even if they have been on for months. _________________ This is my website which has pictures of my chelsea programme collection. www.freewebs.com/dellboye |

He could at least offer "fill a bag for a fiver" as it's Christmas. _________________ "We have a problem with Sol Campbell" Arsene Wenger. 04/02/06 |

This is one off Dave Allen's of Programme Promotions Ebay signons. He is the guy who organises the big June London programmes fair, together with the Altrincham and Sheffield fairs. |

All desirable items . All overpriced. You can use these as a rough price guide. Just take any figure then half it |

Which is why at a quarter of the prices asked they would be cheap..
Kind of agree - half some of the prices would be right but I'd never pay £75 for Everton-Man U basic 50s programme (obviously excepting 1957 and 1958 seasons) nor the same for Spurs in their double season - I think that tends to go for around £20 - a quarter of the silly price basically. |

yeah you're right. but you get the drift. I think he is aiming at new collectors with too much money and no knowledge which has been said before. shame he won't even give an "make an offer "option |

I often check out the stock he has for sale both on eBay and his own website and agree with what everyone else has put about his prices.
I have had one or two good buys from his site as have others from this forum.
But I struggle to see how he makes money, I mean he must have to pay out for his stock and for his premises, eBay fees, his website etc etc, how can expensive UNSOLD stock be worth while?
I would assume he would make more money selling something at 75% of the original price as opposed to not selling it. Or simply does he not need to sell them and is in the fantastic position to wait for the price he wants for them??
Ultimately business must be doing well as he has been operating since 1985. _________________ Nuts and Bolts Web Design

I'd love to go to one of these auctions. There are so many of them but i never have the time. I never fancy biddding on line in any of them but they turn up some wonderful stuff. If any of you had to sell your collection, how would you do it? Auction house or Ebay?? |

Auction has to be the place, you can agree a reserve price with the Auction House, if your item doesnt reach reserve, you have nothing to pay. Unless they charge a lotting fee that is.
Northampton auction tomorrow has some real quality pre war items. |

He does seem well overpriced, reminds me of D&D Programmes in Kilmarnock who also have a reputation for some ridiculous prices, in most cases double anywhere else, hence why I have never used them for years. _________________ https://www.flickr.com/photos/footballprogrammes/albums |
