I sometimes wonder how people come to the conclusion that a programme is in a '"good condition".

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/55-5.....Sw37tV8~ms

Description reads:

You are bidding for a GOOD condition programme from the game played 3rd mar 56. Only blemishes: fold, rusty staples with minor bleed, watermark back cover, small split bottom spine, some creasing, tiny nick top edge back cover....otherwise fine.
Confused

A while back, I saw a 1968 FA Cup final West Brom v Everton MINT condition. Apart from the team changes and wait for it PUNCHED HOLES!
I sent an email to the seller and they came back "You don't have to buy it".
Yes I agree, I didn't have to buy it. But the cheek of saying MINT in the first place.

The most misused word on eBay has to be "Rare" surely?

Everything on there is "rare" these days, even stuff that was produced in its thousands only last week.

Indeed it's so epidemic on there now, the word is completely tainted and has lost all meaning.

These days if I list something that is actually rather rare, I'll describe it as "scarce" or "hard to find" or maybe even "like rocking horse shite."

Basically anything rather than "rare."

Surely its a wind up ? He has a standard ""You are bidding for a GOOD condition programme"" then lists any of faults , some which have many . An odd way of listing .

Every BF&E listing (certainly Villa) claims to be in "good condition" except for faults noted….

And then offered at the snip of £2.99 for a late 70's recycling bin fodder.
