Mr Wiggy, was it you that outbid me on ebay for this one?

One from our Ukrainian friend who typically just sticks to cup games for Crewe but this Newport-Crewe one and a Hartlepool-Crewe one popped up for sale recently. I have bought a few of his badges over the years but have missed a few too - especially if only one is made.

Oops sorry Martin, I feel suitably ashamed buddy.

Sad

Yes it was me, this was on there along with an Orient v Newport badge, and I greedily went after both.

They still haven't arrived either, but always take a bit of time coming from abroad, so I'm not panicking yet.

There's a Newport v Luton one on there now as well which I have my beady eye on.

Smile

That's it, we can't be friends any more littlewiggy Laughing

His badges from the Ukraine normally take a week or two so I wouldn't panic! The badges he makes are usually really nice looking and pretty well made (although they are pretty thin). I probably have 10 or so from him over the last 2/3 years.

One favour I will ask (if that's OK with you), can you take me a better quality picture/scan once it arrives so I can feature a decent picture on my website.

Cheers

Martin

Yes of course, will do mate.
I had planned to pop a nice scan on here.

I too have bought quite a lot of his badges before, some collectors can be quite sniffy about these thin, metal-pressed Ukrainian badges, but I really like them.

Must admit, I'm not looking forward to it given the form your lads are in Kyle.

We're due a ruddy good hiding off the Cumbrians as it is.

I'd happily take a draw right here & now matey.

Our run has to end at some point and no disrespect but history suggest that Newport are the type of team to do it. I thought we were going to get beat yesterday by St Albans and they gave us a tough game but luckily we won it.

Can't see it mate, we've not won at home since March!!

Got a lot of injuries too, we could only name 5 subs yesterday, whilst today, one of our defenders has been given a 6-match ban for a Suarez-style nibble of an opponent.

I think you'll coast home 3 or 4-1.

Having sold badges at grounds around Europe for a number of years, I'd love to know how this guy makes a cut from this. Given the expense of the process of manufacturing the badges (often only one), die making, die stamping, cutting etc.

That said I like his badges and variety of design.

I guess the profit comes whenever there is a bidding war.

I have a friend at work who collects stamps, and I cut them off my deliveries from this guy - usually get about 10 stamps on one envelope, and all colourful!!

My two latest match badges arrived today, very well packed as always with this very good seller.

This season has seen extremely slim pickings thus far, so I'm delighted to be able to add these to my stash - Orient away and Crewe at home.

Plus, Orient was actually a game we won!!!!
(there's only been two! lol)

(Apologies to Martin for the scan, sadly my scanner always shows highly reflective silver parts as dark mate)
