Dear Forum
I thought i ought to warn you about a listing currently on ebay, in case you were considering bidding.
I won legimately the programmes listed below for 60 odd quid and the seller has taken my paypal money but relisted and has said that he thinks they are worth more and has relisted them, he hasn't even paid me back!

Buyers beware: the listing is-

220521205742

Needless to say I am not happy and am still 60 quid out of pocket!

I can't believe this dipshit has the cheek to do this. I did enquire as to the nature of this sale and was informed it included the MU prog for Sep 57 (Munich season) and noticed the starting price/closing price. I didn't bid for it, and obviously it went for a good price (from a buyer's perspective). I hope you get it sorted out mate.

My ebay message to him:

You obviously have no idea about Contract Law s**thead - you sold it, you can't sell it again..
Don't think EBAY or paypal will allow you to get away with this for one minute, so send it to the guy you sold it to before you get into deep cack

Oh and for the record nearly all the people who might bid for it now know what you're up to so don't expect any biters...

I do despair sometimes at little cretins like him.

If you reply to him Dan, ask him which ones are collectors items and how he knows that they are?

This seems like a prime 'boot-his-door-in-and-reclaim-what-has-been-stolen' type of situation.

Anyone got his address?

mate, i would get straight logged in to paypal, go to resolution centre, file a dispute for item not received, then once dispute is opened esculate straight to a full claim, this way the money may not have left his account yet as it takes 3-5 days after payment was sent and will be reversed, his account will go to minus whatever the amount is for if it has been after 5 days, then next time he makes a sale and receives funds the money will head back your way, if this never happens contact the police and fax the police report to paypal with crime number and they will be in touch with this muppet.

I'd contact the police. Enough evidence on here alone.

Thanks for the support gentleman
Easy
, i got my money back this morning from the so called seller.
Looks like you made him realise he is on dodgy ground.
I am now steering well clear and hope that Ebay shut his account.
As you say there is always one or two that spoil things for everyone.

To conclude, I have my money back in my paypal account so please no more messages to this guy, don't get yourselves into trouble, but I am grateful for your backing.

I will keep looking for that elusive Everton v Man utd 1957/8 issue!

Holtie

Be sure to leave appropriate feedback, glad you have your money back, nice 1.

I have only had one near bad experience on Ebay, bought a couple of programmes from a guy in Sleaford, who didnt answer emails etc. I have a friend who lives in Sleaford who kindly knocked on the door after 4 weeks and i finally got my programmes.

Glad to hear that you've got your money back mate.

If he didn't want to sell them for £59 he has two options really, list it with a higher starting bid or put a reserve price on it. Simple really.

To be honest i would be very weary about dealing with anybody with a feedback of 1. I've done it in the past and the deal was fine but i was still very worried.

Yeah, I wouldn't buy anything worth more than a few quid off someone like that, obviously some will just be first time users, but they tend to buy to start with.

At least with paypal it is possible to get your money back from these idiots.
