Anyone following the progress of the new Hereford FC will know they're locked in a two-way battle with Alvechurch for the Midland Combination title.
The two played each other tonight - Hereford won 2-1 (the commentary was up on the BBC website).......but Alvechurch missed yet another penalty kick.

That's their TENTH miss of the season.

Some sort of record, perhaps?

Good luck to Hereford but if Alvechurch had scored just half of those pens, the underdogs might just have had the league wrapped up by now.

1,500 all-ticket sell out tonight - I bet the programme was a sell-out, too.

Possibly but Barcelona are getting close.

I think they have missed 8 up to now.

Sadly, considerable crowd trouble as the final whistle approached.
Match was halted for a five minute period while things calmed down.
