Burgas on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast for the Lokomotiv Plovdiv v Bolton Uefa Cup match.
Plovdiv's ground wasn't up to Uefa standards and was played roughly 200 miles away from Plovdiv. This meant a long coach journey across Bulgaria from Sofia which is where I booked a flight to straight after the draw was made.

We were losing on away goals with about 10 minutes to go and facing a first round exit but two late goals turned it round.I got back from Bulgaria at roughly 6am on the Sunday morning and then made it to the local derby at Wigan for a lunch time kick off.It was the first time we had played Wigan for over 12 years and they took advantage of our Euro exertions by turning us over 2-1.

All long trips?! Very Happy The league is full of Southern teams!!!! I've not been to 7 or 8 grounds in League One this season and Norwich is the closest!

The furthest I've been - any of Torquay, Bournemouth or a pre-season tour of Ireland.

Must be a nightmare for you guys! Norwich might appear to you northerners to be in the south, but the roads out of here are not the best!

I've been to Milan & Madrid to see Villa in the UEFA Cup, in the UK the furthest would be Ipswich to the East, Tranmere to the West, Hull to the North & Wembley to the South.

How long did it take you to Carlisle and back this season?

These are the grounds I'm going to before the end of the season and the rough mileage...

West Bromwich Albion or Birmingham City - 390
Coventry City - 430
Leicester City - 450
Norwich City - 590
Brentford - 620
Southampton - 660
Charlton Athletic - 670
Gillingham - 720
Colchester United - 740

I know that Carlisle is 300ish miles form here, so I'm guessing those are round trips? Very Happy

Furthest I've been would be Barcelona for two pre-season tours, also seen us play in two pre-season tours in the Netherlands in 2004 and 2007.

Well after the Albufeira trip last summer I've definitely got the bug for more pre-season trips abroad.

The missus had been giving me ear ache for years because she saw Forest in Lyon, Auxerre, Malmo and Munich in 95/96, whereas I returned from Portugal with a steaming hangover, 1000 cigarettes, and the knowledge that at last I had seen us win a European trophy!

That wouldn't have been for the discovery cup by any chance would it ? I was there too.

In Uk: Plymouth (South), Dundee (North), Aberystwyth (West), Gillingham (East)

Outside Uk: Barcelona

I've seen a game in the middle-east

Also American football - went all the way to Green Bay to see the Packers beat Cardinals 31-14 about 3 years ago.

Och aye!!! Thumbs Up

Was up in Edinburgh on a stag do and realised the Owls where up in Dundee. Managed to get for the final against Dundee Utd. Thought there would be a 100 or so Owls, more like 3000!!!

Great day, pity about the result!
