Can anyone help please?
The following was found inside a hearts v Rangers 14/8/65 football progranme but the Queen's Park players signify 1975
It says the Queen's Park football club list
Queen's Park v Forfar
Today's teams listed with subs
Then it goes on to give the Norway cup results to date from Oslo!!
Then advance information 12th August qp strollers v Morton at lesser hampden
And qp strollers v queen of the south 16th August
Is this a team sheet????
Thanks
Holtie

Queens played Forfar on 9/8/75 at home in the league cup.
The player pool relates to the first team
I think the Norwegian reference relates to the Strollers, the reserves, who I assume were playing a Tournament in Norway at the time.
I would be surprised if there was not a normal Queens issue for the Forfar game as they were prolific in printing programmes and I think it was the first game of the season.
Not much help sorry,.

Holtie
I just checked on a couple of Scottish dealers sites, it looks like they were not regular issuers in 75/6.
Almondvale have only one for sale and D&D don't have any.
Think its safe to assume that you have the single sheet produced for the match

No problem mate.
Unfortunately I don't think there are many Queens or Forfar collectors out there, so wouldn't be booking my holidays on the sale proceeds Very Happy

Wow! Discernible signatures. Whatever happened to them?

That is a really good point.
Does anyone know when it became socially acceptable to just produce a squiggle? Who was the first team to go down the modern route?

About 10 years ago when players thought it ok to do a squiggle but add their squad number as that makes it ok Sad

In fairness, for a couple of years I did a job that necessitated signing forms 70-80 times a day, often in quick succession, and over that time my signature 'evolved' from being fully legible to something that looked broadly similar but was completely indecipherable.

(closest I'll ever come to knowing what it's like to sign autographs Crying or Very sad )
