I am trying to show off my collection of mainly Carlisle United Badges. It is very much a work in progress and am no photographer so some of the pictures may be poor but it just to show off my general collection. Will try to add new pics as much as I can but it is very much a work in progress.

Enjoy.

Don't be hard on yourself, they are in focus and its a nice collection. I am sure it'll grow nicely with the info you can pick up via this forum about all the new issues and which clubs do badges etc

Easy

Thanks Smile

I've got alot to put on.

This is the best place to find out which clubs are doing match day badges and for asking questions.

There are a number of posters that have created a Flickr or a blog website to show off their football clubs badges. Yours can now be added! Good stuff. It's nice to view other collections. Smile

I love match badges too - although a lot of people really don't 'get' them, they really keep football badge collecting totally current, and means there's always something new to be on the hunt for.

Agreed Dorking, well said.

I fell out of love with modern programmes, just too bulky and space hogging.

Tickets and badges are great to collect in that respect.

Always loved badges too, bought my first County one for 10p in 1980 in the club shop, and wore it proudly on my school jumper for about a year afterwards.

Still got it (see pic), and often look at it these days and think how easily pleased we were back then.
Can't imagine a kid nowadays being quite so thrilled with a poorly printed tin badge somehow.

I love match day badges because with the Man Utd ones they were the games I was actually at so it's more a personal reminder of been at the match.

And with the Carlisle ones am starting to find that I have most normal Carlisle badges now so it rare to come across one I haven't got So the match day badges are great.

That's exactly it. Whether you've got 100 or 1000, there will come a point where you have got pretty much all the club badges there are, and almost everything you see on ebay you already have. But with match badges, even if you are in a division where most clubs don't do anything, there's still something new to look forward to when there is a game with them available.

And if you play at Liverpool or Man United (or maybe even Wolves!) then there can be multiple ones to find!
