mines a pretty rare programme from our first european cup away game against esjberg in 64. Then i have a few more european aways from around 67 to 70.

From 68 and 69 i also have a few from tours of africa and new zealand but obviously they arent european!!

Cardiff have played friendlies in europe pre 1964 but ive not seen any programmes for the games in the time ive been collecting!

Barcelona v. Burnley away May 1949. I also have a menu card & fully autographed tour itinerary from Burnley's tour of Germany in 1928.

If Eire counts then it's Bohemians 47/8. If not then it's Sammensatt 49/0. Both cracking progs.

25-4-1974 Wellington (NZ) v Rovers.
How I wish I could get one from Rovers game with AC Milan played in France in 1933.

If there was one, which I doubt.

We toured Spain and Denmark in the 20s, but I've no idea if any sort of programme exists for either of them.

No programmes exist for our ECWC games against Motor Jena and Slavia Sofia in the 60s, and I don't know of any friendlies we played on the continent in that time. We'd have been far too poor to travel abroad in the 70s so it may well be our ECWC game at Leipzig in 1981, could be wrong though and something I'll have to look into.

Abroad? Whats that? Im a Wycombe Fan dont you know. Smile

Joking aside, I have a progam covering the Anglo Italian tournament in 1973. It was when the participants were amatuer teams and representing England was Wimbledon (Eventual Winners), Wycombe Wanderers, Stafford Rovers, Scarborough, Nuneaton Borough and Enfield.

The program probably has a rare factor of -3/10 given the price I paid for it and the fact that I was the only e-bay bidder for it, but its nice.

The oldest programme howeverthat I own involvine my club Vs a foreign team is from 1957 when we hosted a Uganda XI

If Eire counts? And why on Earth would the foreign overseas independent Republic of Ireland not count?! Wink

First foreign team to beat England in England too of course! Easy

This thread is a good read.
One that I would like and can realistically afford one day is the Feyenoord v Bolton friendly in November 1957.This match was for the floodlight opening at the de Kuip stadium and was in an auction last year with a guide price of £70 ish
One that i would like, have never seen and probably can't afford is Drumcondra v Bolton in May 1950.Has anyone got or seen one of these?

Does England count if you're a Scot Shocked Very Happy Very Happy

If so, its 1899 Newcastle v Hearts

If not, then its AIK Stockholm v Hearts 52/3

Thumbs Up
