Still recovering from a major purchase (for me) at Sportingold a couple of months ago, but have to say there's some smashing stuff in this auction, notably for me a 1920's Palace home v Charlton. Whoever wins that has got themselves a very nice item.

PS always wondered why its not Sporting 'Memories' ??? Smile

I can remember Robert telling me, back in the day, that someone beat him to that name.

Lot 1260 - Trade Card, a rare Leeds Utd Baines Card from the 1920's....

...just to let you know it's not a Baines card. It was issued by Glasgow firm City Bakeries in the 1940s.

If this lot sells at its estimate, I'll be streaking round our local park at midnight shouting 'Look at me I'm enormous'. And then I'll put my collection in for auction.

That lot of war matches the estimates are from the seller not the auctioneer. There were around 50 similar lots in the last sale that did not sell because the seller put an high estimate on them.

According to the Saleroom they choose not to publish their results.

Their website is: http://footy-progs.com/public-live-auctions/

but I can't find anything.
