Everyone has had at least one home League game this season so I was wondering if anyone knows of clubs giving cards or stickers with this seasons programmes?

Ipswich Town have produced a sticker album and are giving sheets of 4 stickers with each programme throughout the season.

Any more?

Alan

Unfortunately Blackpool aren't doing any but they have always been a little behind when it comes to programme innovation.

Look out for some Blackpool ones around 2018/9 or 2019/20.

Palace are doing them this season, based on it being the 90th year at Selhurst Park.

The first 4, issued at the West Ham game on 23rd August, were:-

#1 a 1924 view of the ground on opening day (I think I showed you all the postcard on a thread here a while ago)
#14 Johnny Byrne
#48 Mark Bright
#65 Andrew Johnson

A "limited edition" album (£4.99) to keep them in will be on sale at the next home game. It doesn't say how many cards there are in so many words, but it does say there will be 4 in every programme and as there are 19 home league programmes that's 76 cards.

This season's programme is up in price to £3.50.

A very good idea (obviously not totally a new concept) and it would enhance the sales of programmes for those wanting to collect the full sets. Easy

Yes it is a very good idea whether it is cards or stickers especially with an album to keep them in.

I am envious of those whose clubs are doing this.

Now the big question... do you put the cards/stickers in the album or keep them with the original programme?!

Funny, that's what I was going to ask!

The Palace ones are in a perforated concertina back page so you can remove the sheet with 4 cards on from the back page. Even so I can see they'll be on Ebay later - the cards themselves, and the programmes, with & without the cards inside.

When Cardiff City did a sticker album some years ago. The stickers were on two pages stapled into the centre of the album. I ended up buying three of each programme.

1. Programme kept intact.
2. Stickers removed as complete sheets
3. Stickers removed and placed in the album

Thumbs Up

I'd settle for 2 sets of programmes

1) programmes kept intact
2) stickers removed and stuck into album

Each to their own though.

Back to the original post, are the sheets of stickers attached to the programme or are they inserted into the programme?

I haven't bought one yet - but the photo I found seems to indicate they are loose.
