A very tough opening weekend with some very tricky fixtures to predict.

29 predictions
3 no shows
Total points scored : 181 pts
Average points: 6.24
Top scorer was gkb: 15 pts
Fixture that yielded most points: Spurs v QPR 36 points
Fixture that yielded least points: Inverness v Celtic 0 points
Fixture that had most correct scores: 9, Sunderland v Manchester United

Greatbarrwolf 4-7 Coolascustard
A real shocker on the opening day for Greatbarrwolf with a disappointing 4 points. Coolascustard lived up to his name as Sunderland/manchester United delivered the goods.

fcdbafc 5-7 Sellsell39
New boys Fcdbafc were all square at half time against sellsell39 but the tractor boys edged ahead in the second half to offer some consolation for this weekend's result.

Sharrowblade 7-5 Bisphamseasider
Oh I do like to be beside the seaside. Bisphamseasider, Blackpool's finest was well and truly rocked by Sharrowblade.

Paul1873 9-5 pafcprogs
The battle of the newbies, with a couple of beautys from the former (Everton/Arsenal and Yeovil/Scunthorpe) giving him a confortable win.

Ruudvandriver 10-9 DannyRoberts
A classic opening day encounter with the underdog DannyRoberts achieving his best points tally ever, probably (lol) but still losing out to RVD.

Atletico 0-6 Burnleycollector
A no show from Atletico, must unlike them gifted the points to Burnley collector.

JJprogrammes 3-7 Shotsman
Oh dear where did it all go wrong for JJprogrammes this weekend. Shotmsman indebted to Sunderland/manchester United

gfcpaul 7-7 FlackwellLad
The only draw of the weekend. A game that looked close and lived up to its billing.

Rockyboro 6-0 tony 1965
Rocky struck lucky as again the opponents didn't turn up.

Londonlilywhite 2-6 Wrexham
A match that promised much but delivered very little. Wrexham off to a sound start.

Robbo 6-5 Superajm
An opening day victory for Robbo, a phrase not too commonly used. Superajm a little late with his scores. Just a reminder everyone Mid-day saturday is cut-off point.

Saintclarkie 4-9 Kcs
Saints alive, a surprisingly poor showing from the South Coast's master predictor. Kcs looks in good form.

Mattybatty 0-2 kenners46
kenners is this week lucky boys, I don't know how they've got the nerve to claim the three points. mattybatty is the final no show of the weekend.

Surfinjim 3-4 Pastpirate
WAWAW Jimbo, just remind me of what the middle W is will yer Laughing
Pastpirate was nowhere near his best in what was frankly a dreadful encounter. Still, three points are heading down the west country.

MATCH OF THE DAY
Derby1884 9-15 gkb

Easily the highest combined score of the weekend, as the weekend's top game gave us the top score. Perennial play-off challengers Derby1884 were unlucky to come up against current champions gkb, who sliced them up with this week's top score of 15 points, which earned them the newly introduced 2 bonus points for being the competitions top weekly scorer.

NeilP 2-10 Barrett
Former champ barrett showed no mercy with NeilP with a 10-2 rout. Barrett is back....

Loving the stats Sharrow, quality work!

Any chance of an AFS style compilation at the end of the season?
