Back in the day this one and the Norwich LC semi were 2 of the most sought after Blackpool homes.

As with a lot of programmes prices have dropped dramatically in recent years, so I was pleased when I sold one in January 2013 for £222.

Since then I recall seeing one go for around £150.

Most serious Blackpool collectors now have this in their collection and I would imagine most Leeds collectors have as well.

The current value is therefore likely to be a lot less but as you know if there are 2 collectors out there who still require it the end price is anybodys guess.

Whilst writing this I have noticed RVD's reply, and I would say that whoever bought one at that price has got an absolute bargain, depending on condition of course.

If I was selling another I would be looking for at least £75.

Got £500 for mine about 5 or 6 years back. It was part of a very large pre 1970's Blackpool collection that I purchased on here probably a year or so earlier.

Bazza/Bispham.....

Please forgive my earlier buffoonery - I was referring to the game at Elland Road, apologies.

Those were the days.

I remember when the Norwich semi final went for £800 and that was only a few years ago.

I will try it at £500 and work my way down if no takers.

I have told him how much prices have dropped, he paid £50 for a 1954 FA Cup Final a few years back and i told him you can now get one for under £20.
He also has a few other bits that he might get a good price for. Thumbs Up

I have a suspicion you'll give him the £500 and just take the hit yourself, Barry.

Heart of gold and all that Smile

Never thought I'd see the day when Bazza came "cap in hand" to the
Forum for a valuation from fellow members Shocked Shocked Shocked
It's sackcloth and ashes time Bazza and when you've worn the hair shirt and eaten rats for a week you will see you got a good response
and gained respect for doing so. We're all human after all and it's good to know you're perhaps not the ogre we thought you were.
I suggest that the Ban Bazza vote is pronounced "null & void".

It may even spark off an ASK BAZZA section

Look Matty it wasnt my programme so if he got £10 for it there would have been no skin off my nose.
If i owned it I would have put it on auction.
If i would have listened to some of the members on here the Old Boy would have ended up with £75 instead of £500. As i said before i dont know everything but more than most.
A prominent London dealer once sold a 1952/3 Wolves v Chelsea for £6 and at the time it was going for over £500...

There was never a ban on me some Scot took offence because i called him a tight git and he called me racist. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

£500 - very good price to be honest.

Clearly wanted as it got snapped up very quickly.

Hope your customer has a nice break away.

Right place right time bazza but still I can't believe someone would pay £500.

Prices for this one have generally been falling for many years so to get £500, that's amazing. Shocked Well done.

Although there is one Blackpool collector who will go for a buy it now at any price if he needs it so I am wondering if it was him.

If it was, you would probably have got whatever price you listed it at.

Doesn't surprise me one bit. Doubt it would have got much more at auction, then you have commission etc. Glad I sold mine for cash so no commission to anyone - to clear that it would need to sell for nigh on £600 at most auction houses.

It does surprise me a little John.

Since your sale a few years back these programmes have been selling for anywhere between £150 and £250.

Now a punter has jumped straight in at £500.

Perhaps the moral is to never put a programme that has the potential to be a good earner on auction.

Stick it on as a BIN for a ridiculously high price and hope someone bites. If they don't you have lost nothing and can try again for slightly less and so on until it sells.

I have in my possesion a spare of one of the rarest post war Blackpool friendlies.

I was planning on auctioning it but now I think it has to be a BIN.

I no longer use BIN since I no longer have to pay listing fees. I just list it at whatever the BIN would have been and with some luck may get a bidding war. If you only get one bid then it's what you would have had if it were a BIN.
