I've just bought a copy of Libero on eBay, Vol. 1 Issue 1, dated 16 August 1998.

It is an 8-page issue which was free of charge, and was related to a specific home fixture (in this case v Celtic on the same date). Editorial on the back page suggests that it was designed to act a a handout in the city in the immediate lead-up to the game, with a Sun journalist providing the lead front page story, along with (predicted) team lines in the centre spread.

This is the first I have been aware of this publication's existence, probably as I had left Scotland a couple of years earlier and stopped attending Dons games regularly in 1996.

There have been a couple of other issues of Libero sold recently on eBay.

Does anyone have any info about this publication, such as its longevity, numbers produced, etc?

Any info would be gratefully received.

Cheers
Peter

Peter!
I have 3 of these, I think, and I got them from kevin Stirling.I don't know if there are any more of them. I have to say, I don't remember them from the time, but like you, I was elsewhere!

Hi Dave

Thanks for that. I suspect it didn't last long, coming at the beginning of the internet era. Would be great to know what issues you have, if you get the chance.

Cheers
Peter

Peter!
Won't be for a week or so, as I'm off up to Glasgow for commonwealth games training - I'm a Clydesider- and then off to lanzarote for a week!
