I am realiably informed that Dundee didn't start produced programmes until after WW2 so 1946/47, which does seem late by comparision to English teams.

As anyone see or got anything from that season?

When is your club's first home programme?

I have no idea but I have seen a Rangers item from about 1920s or 30s.

1886/87 a free programme was produced what we would know as a programme. i.e. Teams listed and adverts. The 7 years of existence before that is anyone's guess.

Hearts 1924/25 and every season since then apart from WWII

Rangers only started producing after the war, only a few one-offs before then.

I think the opening of the stand 1929 v Celtic was the only prewar Rangers home league programme. So not too many to collect Eck.

Rangers only pre-war league programme is the 1929 league game against Celtic. This was for the opening of the main stand. Expect to pay upwards of £800.

First proper league issue was against Celtic 1/1/47 and is No.1 in a series that runs to 1969/70.

The first games against Dundee are the march 47 league cup issue No.6 (rock hard) and the August 47 issue against Dundee No.10

There is also the 45 Moscow Friendly at Ibrox,

Prior to the war, it's cup finals only.

Eck - slightly going off of topic.

What happened to the wonderful Rangers History website that had a near comprehensive guide to Rangers programmes?

Can anyone confirm if this still exists but in another guise?

Fantastic site that inspired me to start mine.

I recently bought a 1912 Plymouth v Swindon home programme. It is the first time they used the design that stayed with the club until the outbreak of WW2

So it is the first of its kind....but not the first programme they produced!

That's a shame, the now defunct site was very good.

I am sure the site mentioned above it worth a visit. Thanks for the replies.

I have seen an Aberdeen v QOS from 38-39 but not sure how regular they were issued. I think regularly issued from 47-48 onwards.
I am also aware of Celtic producing in the 32-33 season as again I have seen an issue v Aberdeen
