Rangers were overshaddowed by a great Celtic team in this era but they still had a great side and I loved the football. This one ended in a 3-3 draw.

1992 and a home game for Leicestershire Senior League leaders North Kilworth against 8th placed Kirby Muxloe.

4 page programme was included in the admission price of 50p.

Game ended in a 2-1 win for the home side in front of a gate of 145.

The village of North Kilworth is unusual in that it has no shops. I don't know why but there's a story there somewhere.

1935 and a Spartan League fixture against Callender Athletic, the cable works side from Erith. The match ended 3-3 and Maidenhead finished 6th, Callender 8th (of 14) and Hitchin Town won the title. Usual six page gatefold issue printed black on grey paper.

Here is a Norfolk Senior Cup Quarter Final Match from last year, Norwich City U21's v King's Lynn Town, which Lynn lost 6-3. Attendance was 207. This programme is a 4 page issue and the match was played at Norfolk's Football Development Centre based in Bowthorpe, Norwich. The match was played on 'The Field of Dreams'. The Norwich line up included the Murphy Twins who have been tipped for 'big things' with Norwich City.

57 years ago. A Spartan League fixture between 3rd-placed Huntley & Palmers and 9th-placed Histon Institute.

4 page programme, the highlight of which is a full page ad (with pictures) for the various biscuits H&P produced. (do they still?)

Remember Cornish Wafers?

The club had two grounds - not many can say that!

1956-57 Leeds played Cardiff City in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup, the result being 2-1 to the Welsh team. (The two teams met in the 3rd Round for 3 seasons in a row, this being the middle game, each time Cardiff won 2-1 at Elland Road)

Standard issue used throughout the season.[/img]

85 years ago (1929) and a 2nd Division fixture between Chelsea and Blackpool.

Chelsea were lying 3rd in the table with just 3 defeats but Blackpool came away with a superb 3-2 victory.

Neal, Tremelling and Hampson were the Blackpool scorers.

The programme was the standard 8 page issue.

63 years ago (1951) and a 3rd Rd FA Cup tie between Charlton Athletic and Blackpool.

This was the start of Blackpool’s cup run to their 2nd post war final but they needed a replay to progress to the 4th Rd with the game ending in a 2-2 draw.

Perry and Mortensen were on the score sheet and the Seasiders won the replay 3-0.

A standard 8 page programme was issued.

Here is an Everton v King's Lynn programme for the FA Cup 3rd Round, 6th January 1962. The trip to Goodison was the reward for knocking Coventry out in the previous round. Coventry duly sacked their manager after losing to King's Lynn, and a certain Jimmy Hill had his first foray into football managership.
Everton beat King's Lynn 4-0 in front of a crowd of 44916. This is the furthest in the FA Cup King's Lynn have achieved to date.

80 years ago [1934] and a trip to Ewood Park for the Rams.

Derby could have gone top of the table with a win but it was the home side who triumphed 2-1 in front of 16,965.

20 page programme has 6 pages of club notes including the "Sparklets" feature, taking a general look at the world of football. There's also a full page line drawing of Rovers' keeper Clifford Binns.

Plenty evocative adverts including Gracie Fields appearing at the Theatre Royal in "This Week Of Grace", Syd Smith the undertaker, Walsh's "miracle cough cure" and, best of all, "Old Mo's Rum" sold in various sized bottles from 1/3d up to 12/6d.

One of those pre-war programmes you can spend hours on!

1972 and an Athenian league fixture at Boreham Wood which the home side won 2-0. Maidenhead finished 9th, Boreham Wood 11th (of 16) and Slough Town won the title. Six page gatefold programme printed black on white.

75 years ago (1939) and an FA Cup 3rd Rd tie between Blackpool and Sheffield United.

No clues on the front as to what game the programme refers to but nevertheless a superb example of a pre war programme with a great cover.

The programme is 20 pages and is full of reading and information.

The Blades won this one 2-1 but eventually went out to Grimsby in a replay.

1969 and a Premier Midweek Floodlight League Section A group match at Crawley which the home team won 2-0. Crawley finished 2nd, Maidenhead 4th in a section of eight clubs, Walton & Hersham won the group. Four page programme printed red on white paper with duplicated added information.

Here is a rather bland offering from the 1977-78 season.
This was the layout for the programme all season. Mainly adverts, not much in the way of information. Fixture lists not updated throughout the season. Poor effort on the whole. Anyway King's Lynn drew this home match 1-1 with Oswestry Town.

1995 - Battersea Ironsides vs Reigate Town in the Surrey SE Combination Div.1

20 page programme issued, most notable for the long article attempting to unravel the League's decision to relegate the club at the end of 93/4 despite saying that, due to expansion, they wouldn't.

It's obvious from the text that there's still much bitterness at that decision.

The programme is excellent value for 25p with masses of stats.
Pity about the rather ghastly cover design!

1956 and Rovers stuff the Busby Babes 4-0 at Eastville in the 3rd round of the cup.
Standard programme was issued that was the same as all the rest that season.

46 years ago (1968) and a single sheet for an FAYC 3rd tie between Manchester United and Blackpool.

This sheet was one of those printed without a token.

I don’t have a score recorded so if anyone knows please drop me a PM.

Another low key issue from King's Lynn. This is for a match versus A47 rivals Wisbech Town, in the East Anglian Cup. Lynn won the match 7-1 in front of a crowd of1613.

Very basic 8 page programme, no fixture lists or oppositions pen pics. League tables printed when it suited!!

76 years ago and a 3rd round FA Cup tie won 2-1 by Stoke in front of 28,788.

Standard pre-war Derby issue - the advert for pipe tobacco is interestingly worded!
