Has the days of big money for the scarce friendlies now gone?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bost.....&rt=nc

This was a nailed on £100+ 3 or 4 years ago, £12.50 today, and I've seen others that used to make big wedge sell for a pittance.

Have all the serious collectors now got all there is? Or is there still a few gems out there?

I think its a simple case that once all the serious collectors have got a copy it drops significantly in price - Theres a load of cardiff programmes like that...unfortunately I bought at the wrong time and paid lots Sad

Can anyone educate me on why this 1963 Bury / Chelsea programme + tickets has gone for so much money?

Thanks in advance.

Scarce issue in Chelsea's promotion season but would imagine the 2 tickets have something to do with the high sale.

It is to be hoped that new collectors will help keep the prices up but are they out there?

The winner you can be assured already has the programmes and it was the tickets they wanted.

The winner, is for me the fore most collector of Chelsea tickets and was collecting CFC tickets before even myself. However, the people now driving CFC tickets to new heights are for the most part relatively new to ticket collecting, but, as they have collected most other CFC items have now turned their sights to the one area they have neglected, tickets. Tickets for the most part are harder to acquire than programmes etc

The individuals now collecting tickets are from what I can ascertain, very successful people who are entitled to spend their money as they see fit.

If these Chelsea fans have more money than sense , I wonder why a genuine ( I suppose ) League cup winners medal won by Claude Makelele
in 2005 has attracted no bids so far, or even a reasonable bin for such an item ? Compared to the crazy prices paid for old ticket stubs and press photos recently , I would think the medal is a bargain.

Oversupply, or a sign of less new collectors coming on the scene? maybe a bit of both.
