The last time Bolton played a league game at Tranmere,Sam Allardyce refused to use any of Tranmere's facilities.
Bolton turned up at the ground in their kit,won the game, got back onto the coach in their football kit and got showered after the drive back to Bolton.

That is the amount of respect Bolton have for Tranmere, and rightly so.

My dislike for the Birkenhead club goes back to 87/88 when Bolton were in the 4th Division.During a run of bad form/injuries Tranmere refused to pay the extra police bill needed to host a game against a club with Bolton's away support and the game was postponed.Tranmere were deducted 2 points by the league for this. When the match was played a few months later,Bolton were in bad form and lost the game.

Mind you,we've played at Tranmere twice in pre season recently and they do issue a very good programme

I would hope Pompey would progress after being drawn at Home to Hereford.

What about West Ham vs Millwall! That should be fiery.

The blue and white wizards away at the conquers of the Porkers, Port Vale.

Good indication of where we really are as a club.

Another home draw for us, 9 in a row now, so that'll do. Decent chance of progressing, although I suppose it is one of the tougher draws we could have got.

Hi Mate
Just to let you know i have nothing against Palace and was just gutted that we were drawn in London.
Its not quite that easy mate when you have done 321 consecutive competitive Manchester City Home & Away including Europe.
Last game i missed was Gillingham Away in 01/02 season.
must admit i am glad it is a Thursday night as i can book 1/2 day holiday finish work at 12:30 get picked up by my mate at 12:35 then my mate will drive down to south london then straight back to Manchester after the game and in work Friday until 3:45 then sleep all day Saturday then up at 4am Sunday for our longest league away trip of the season for a 1:30pm kick off Portsmouth (Away)
What do you reckon mate i think it will be a tight game and am hoping that we just nick it in normal time and i am praying (NO EXTRA TIME!!)
Cheers
Darren

I must admit Darren that is some commitment. I admire you for that. Bow
I'm just glad we got a home draw against somebody half decent.
Now for the down side, I'm expecting City to play only a smattering of 1st teamers, which really underminds the comepetition. But it will be good for our youngsters to play against better players and gain valuable experience.

The second part of the downside, for me personally is I'm on my way back from Egypt that night so won't be able to see the game. Sad

Typical of sky sports to do this to me. I've already rescheduled my holiday (much to the wifes annoyance) because we play at Peterborough on Bank holiday Monday. Again thats down to Sky Sports.

Keep that run going Darren, and lets hope you see a good game on the 27th.

All the best
Steve

A potential bannana skin if ever I saw one, still a £5 train return from sheffield and £10 ticket, and a good bar crawl before!

Cant wait

Thought this one might have been made a bubble match.
It hasn't though, so as you say Matt "it could be tasty"

I'm sure you won't agree with me when I say that I hope the ubderdogs pull of a shock win.

C'mon you Pirates.
