Orient 1962/63

One thing i've noticed but never known the answer to is, how come a lot of Orient home programmes of said season don't have the date printed on the front cover? Orient v Fulham is the one i first noticed it on. Any ideas?

Im speculating here but possibly as there was a big freeze in January 1963 and very little football was played from Christmas until mid-February?

So they would have produced a programme without a date in case the game was postponed?

Crewe Alex issued a programme without a date last season for the rearranged game against Bristol Rovers. The game was postponed and the same programme was used for the match when it went ahead at the third (or fourth) attempt.
