I have a few of those, I'm 99% certain that they are all pre-printed.

Thanks for your comments guys

Its hard to tell to be honest but the actual amount of players who have signed made me think that it was hand signed. It was from the year that Villa got promoted and looks pretty good, Some are written more lightly than others but I'm still non the wiser.

Athletico - if you could put up one of your copies then I can try and compare.

Cheers John

Difficult to tell from the scan.

The signatures are all pretty much the same size whereas - the wife says - we do not all have the same size writing. She tells me to look from the reverse as, if they are original, there should be an impression for some.

Here's one I have when I was younger many years ago I used to send pictures / autograph books of to clubs to get signatures. The one below I received back from Aston Villa and this is definately a pre-printed one.

The way it is set out with each signature in its own space and hardly any overlap would suggest it is pre-printed.

But it is very diffcult to be certain without seeing the real thing, and even then as you have discovered, it is still not easy to determine.

There goes my theory about the amount of signatures Laughing

The paper is very good quality - quite thick - would this be used for pre-printed stuff? Also most of the signatures are done by a fountain pen by looks of it, the Mercer one is one of the ones that isn't.

I've had a look at the back and there are no imprints from the signatures on the reverse but as I said the paper is quite thick.

Thanks for your help everybody

Cheers John

The sizing and spacing is just far too uniform to be original I reckon. Id certainly assume pre printed unless you can find a good reason to think otherwise. Have a good search on Google and ebay you might find another to compare.
