I recently bought 10 shoot magazines from 1970,I have no plans to start a collection though. I got them for a fiver plus postage.
I think some could do well depending on the content, for instance I have a football annual (can't remember what one) but it is dated from the 67/68 season so it has good coverage of Celtic's ground breaking European Cup win.

Personally I only buy the ones with Millwall content.
Finding out which ones cover Millwall is the hard part and can be a long listing process for a seller!

I would imagine it is the same for 'one club' collectors as opposed to 'comic' collectors - 2 different markets.

Prices - not sure........ some sellers on Ebay try very high BIN - they have been sat there for months, if not years.

The guy I've bought several of my copies of Shoot from starts at about £1.10 now - some go for more but most stick at that price - his descriptions are very full and must be very time consuming to type up.

Good luck!

I have Scoop Magazine Issue 1 to 102.
However, my uncle was a printer and they are all professionally bound.
Wouldn't imagine they are worth much.
I also have a lot of Shoot magazines which are also bound. Proably all early eighties.

Still got a big boxful of "Football Weekly News" - mid/late 70s?
Useful in that it had all the previous week's team lineups in it.

Was aimed more at the "Goal" market than the "Shoot" one.

I hope admin don't mind me listing this. Delete if not acceptable to post a link.

You will find a great forum, only about 9 months old discussing Roy of the Rovers, Champ, Football Picture Story Monthly. Striker, Tiger and many more.

The board has a FULL collection of all FSPM's and will be offering scans and a full collection on disc in the future. Some members have nearly full ROTR collections to discuss.

I have the complete Champ, Spike and Half collection of Buddy.

Worth taking a look.

The great thing about the board is the varied interest of the members.
Most queries are answerable by someone or another.

It was my interest in comics tha had led me back wanting recollect long lost collections of programmes.

Wartime magazines maybe of interest over there.

I require info on the strip Limp Along Leslie and a few others, if anyone on here has an interest

By the way Alan, I have posted a reply there with the name of a member who may have 2-4 of Hotshot and be able to possibly help you with scans of the cover!

Yeah, thanks. Didn't have any problems. Looks like a place I'll be visiting regularly. I don't collect comics, but I'm always after stuff that's been issued with comics or adverts that appeared in comics...

That is strange, we have had no problems since we were created last December. It did notice the server went down earlier. Not sayong that is why,

all i can say it do please try and again or (forgive me i am not saying you havent done this) try a mixed up name that would be rarer.

Alan had no probs earlier... so it should work.
