Too far away for me, although I have been when I've gone from my mother's in Derby.

As it's the Wickerman Festival this weekend have left bids for a number of items as I won't be able to follow the live auction. Be too busy tuning in, turning on, and dropping out!

I am worried about John and this Wickerman Festival.

Either:

He is going to indulge in pagan rituals and be driven to distraction by nubile young wenches dancing naked in a recreation of scenes from the film

OR

He is going to put on a dark suit, shirt, tie, glasses and slick down his hair and walk around a field with a microphone with other like minded individuals in tribute to the recently departed broadcaster.

If it is the former are there any spare tickets?

Thank you Martino, I now can't get Britt Ekland out of my mind.

I think I'd better get my Leeds United press photos out again, they'll soon cool me down.

Didn't they use another actress for the nude scene, though?

A Scottish lady by the name of Jane Jackson was the body double for Miss Ekland.

I have a story about Britt Ekland.

A few years ago at birmingham memrobillia they did a bond villians and babes a guy I worked with was heavely into Bond,as I was going I said I would take him.I was going for the sport stars.
He went round the villians and started on the babes.
He gets to Britt pays his £10 for her auto and he says you know that car you drove in said film did they give it to you.
She took one look at him and said Stupid Boy go away.

I did smile.

Just been filling up the boot in preparation for an early kick off the morra. Want to get there fairly early, so have ensured that I have sufficient alcohol as you still canny buy the stuff b4 10am in Scotland!

Have some nice Henry Weston's cloudy scrumpy 2 litre flagons @ 7.2%, some cans of draught Guinness, a couple of bottles of Fair Trade Shiraz, a wee bottle of home made sloe chilli vodka, and some other bits and bobs.

Thing is, what I do for Saturday?

Pete, Difficult as it must be to move away from Britt back to the Sporting Memorys Auction, I assume you have seen the run of F A Cup Final original press photos plus other press photo lots.

Noticed that lot 136 which contained the following, just sold for £747.50 ( inclusive of commission). I know that the Newport programme is difficult to get hold of as it was a postponed fixture, but are any of the others that difficult to come by?

Nottingham Forest, a collection of 20 home programmes in various condition, 1945/46 Swansea (26/01/46), Newport Co (09/02/46), Wolves (02/03/46), West Ham (09/03/46), Brentford (20/04/46), 1946/47 Arsenal, Barnsley, Burnley, Chesterfield, Coventry, Doncaster, Fulham, Middlesbrough, Southampton, WBA & West Ham Utd, 1947/48 Aldershot, Birmingham, Bradford & Cardiff.

Happy to have got 2 Belfast Celtic v Celtic (Glasgow) 25/6 & 26/7.

Shocked at prices of Scotland v Ireland 1930 £1,900 + comm and Scotland v Wales 1936 £3,000 + comm. I would have guessed £300 each.
