Had a look at the BT Sport website today and found out that as a BT Broadband customer I can get the new BT Sport channels for nothing over my Sky Box when they start broadcasting in August.

I thought it sounded too good to be true but went through the sign up screens and the final screen said "monthly cost £0.00."

Worth a look if you have BT Broadband and a Sky Box.

I do - but assumed it was only available through the internet.

Got a Sky box (but no Sky subscriptin any longer) - do I need to sign up via the BT website?

Check out the www.btsport.com website. They are offering access via sky box, online or by app.

As part of the sky sign up you need your BT account number and sky viewing card number so that assumes you must have a current sky subscription.

Otherwise I think it costs £12 per month.

I went on to BT to register but it crashed due to excessive number of people signing up!

Couldn't figure out the Sky box option but there's a message there about the internet option where they say there is no need to do anything as BT will automatically allow access to subscribers.

It's all very confusing, to be honest. So I gave up trying.

Perhaps I was lucky but I had no problems.

From the BT Sport home page click on "how to order".

After that scroll down the screen and it depends on whether you already have BT Broadband or not.

If not, and you want to change to BT Broadband select "new to Broadband" and go from there.

If you already have BT Broadband, select "already have broadband" and go from there. If you already have a Sky box you will need your BT account number and Sky viewing card number.

Other ways of accessing BT Sport channels are available other than via sky box, these are detailed on the BT Sport website.

Hope this helps.

True. Full broadcasting starts on that date. Channels are already up on Sky with advertising.
