Congratulations to Guernsey F C on achieving promotion from step five of the non league system.

In the last 36 days they have played 20 league matches (almost half their total number of league matches for the season). Seven of those matches were in the last ten days, culminating today in four wins in four days to complete their league season.

During these 36 days their record was:

Played 20
Won 13
Drawn 3
Lost 4

In the end they were runners up in the Combined Counties Premier League with 96 points, two points behind the Champions, Egham Town.
As I understand it this promotion was earned as a runner up with the best points per match ratio.

The ethos of the Club is to use local players who play for the love of the game and seeing how far they can get Guernsey up the pyramid.

Guernsey also lost out in the Semi Final of the F A Vase to Spennymoor, who won the trophy yesterday.

All in all an exceptional effort.

Clap Clap

Well done, and I would love to hear a Wenger or Ferguson reaction to that schedule of games

Well done to them, in that case.

Did Matt Le T play any games for them?

Le Tiss made one 10 minute appearance as a substitute - Guernsey still lost that one. That probably confirmed to him that his playing days are over!

As an aside, I saw a tweet from Guernsey F C thanking Farnham Town, their opponents yesterday, for cleaning and tidying their dressing room before they left.
