In a madcap kind of way Im almost looking forward to Wolves playing league 1 next season. The atmosphere last time we were there was much, not better, but more positive. I think it's because only the true fans go to games in the lower leagues, not just the 'johnny come latelys' who are there as much to see the opposition as the Wolves. Away days (not that I will manage any now) were also much better, again because it was the 'die hard' fans there.
I also think that Dean Saunders will do a good job for us there (if mad morgan keeps him!!) I saw the doncaster chairman being interviewed and it appeared he still thought very highlt of Dean.

Wolves have the right manager for League 1 and should be fine - a quality striker can be enough in this league . The chances that are missed is incredible and some of the defending beggars belief .

We got away with it against lesser teams like Gillingham (in the Cup) but teams with a decent striker capitalized on poor defensive errors

A decent Championship striker and spine to the side should see you through

Trouble with PNE was the number of changes made last year - complete new side - Graysons got a better man management approach that appears to be working .

don't take this the wrong way but we really didn't want to be playing you!

If we keep this squad (minus the out of contract players) we should be play offs minimum. Unfortunately Fergie has said the squad will be broke up - time will tell

I still worry DF will leave Sad

Anyone else been relegated in the last minute of a season? It's not much fun

If If if you keep most of the squad you probably will do ok .

I think Bradford could do well if they come up .

Not a good week for that geezer on talk Sport who supports Posh .

I am right aren't i ? He is a Posh fan ?

He'll be moaning about Sir Alex playing a weakened squad at Chelsea too.

Can read him like a book .

. Read It

Gough will say Sir Alex can play who he wants cos they've earned the right by winning the Premier by about 20 furlongs !!! Thumbs Up

Look on the bright side - you mght be playing Cambridge Utd next year

ps - i suppose you won't be wanting your programmes from this season ?
I''ll make an offer if you're interested and the geezer off talk sport can forward his unwanted media packs - can you put a word in for me .

Cheers

Will Wolves spend their further Premier League parachute payment on the squad?

Do you reckon you'll be keeping Bossie? Would be nice to see him back at Broadhall Way next season!

We may be still getting the parachute payments but we need to get rid of the high wage earners i.e. the players who thought they were too good for the Championship and did not put the effort in (they know who they were).

Hopefully we will clear out the higher wage earners and play a number of the kids who are 'young and eager'. It's simply a case of getting players who want to play for the club and not just pick up a huge wage and not perform.

Looking forward to playing every Saturday and Tuesday from early August. LETS GO WOLVES.

Can't see why not, he's not set the world on fire so no one will come in for him. Finally looks ok at CH and should be fine in League 1. The big two for us will be Gayle and Tomlin, keep them and we'll be near the top

Think you're more likely to be in the bottom half looking over your shoulders if you lose too many players /

What we need in this league is a few more bigger clubs like Wolves .

Glad Bradford won today - hope they come up from League 2 .

Rather Yeovil win the Play off final .

Think it'll be Wolves PNE Sheff Utd/ Brentford ( If they don't go up ) Coventry

Probably be a little one in there like Crewe or Walsall.

To be honest i'd have been glad to see the back of Colchester instead of Portsmouth . I know they were adrift but they're a great club .

The smaller clubs tend to raise their game against PNE - they get excited playing at a Premier League standard stadium , so the more bigger clubs the better .

Rotherham /Bristol City may be the dark horses .Gillingham in the bottom four .

Average attendance for league 1 clubs was about 6,500 i believe .

Biggest home win PNE 5-0 Hartlepool

Unless Saunders gets it right and right from the start it will be a very long season for Wolves.

We were heavily linked with Bjorn Sigurdarson - glad we didnt sign him with a 1 in 8 goal ratio.

One of my fav seasons in recent memory was spent in League One. As mentioned good people, different grounds and affordable tickets.

The Premiership is not all its cracked up to be, not that we will be in it for much longer!

Affordable football - good people agree

Some poor ground and some very poor quality of football.

For me this seasons championship had the best finish for years not because we won it but the constant table positions in the final 30 minutes of the season

Next season, Ok im over the moon to be in the premiership but im sure it will soon wear off after a few stuffings.

About poor grounds, much rather go and watch some football in a shitty old stadium such as Brisbane Road than a newly built stadium with no atmosphere! (Not that there aren't any of those in League One)

No wonder it was full of Canaries at PNE when you won 1-0 with a fluke Holt goal

Only £10 on that day .

Sumners pub was full of 'em .

Still got the ticket .

Got to agree though - i do miss some of the old stadiums not that the facilities were good at many .

Ive grown up watching the city and am now in my early 30s so have had years of travelling around the country over the years.

I agree some grounds have better atmosphere but wherever the city travelled we'd always get treated shit by Job.

I totally disagree the way we've swapped the colour - but were finally in the bigtime.

I just hope we dont go straight back down

Blue wasn't your original colour anyway was it ?

Best Cardiff kit was late 70's early 80's

League 1 football is absolutely dreadful. The Championship isn't much better.
