Just wondered if they annoy anyone else .
Usually you can choose if you want subtitles appearing on your TV but MOD seem to be imposing Twitter subtitles at the bottom of the screen every so often .
I don't ilke them - if I want to know what an ex player is saying i'll follow on Twitter - that's the idea isn't it ?
I don't want twitty remarks spoiling my entertainment in my own lounge thank you very much . _________________ http://www.sportsattax.net/ Paypal accepted No Pies - Ticket stubs added daily |

I'm with you. The other thing that annoys me even more is news stories about what someone's said on twitter. Like you said, if was remotely interested, i'd look on twitter! It's just lazy journalism. _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/eagleowlprogrammes/ |

The twitter subtitles didn't seem to appear on the Sunday night version just Saturday night .
I don't mind the score or substitute info going up . _________________ http://www.sportsattax.net/ Paypal accepted No Pies - Ticket stubs added daily |

Have to admit to noticing them appear, but never read them. For that reason, they don't really bother me. Afterall I only watch MOTD to kill time before the Football League show is on _________________ www.programmehut.com - The Internet Dealers

I record MOTD anyway, watch the goals, fast forward through the waffle. |
This is what I do too. None of the BBC pundits are really worth listening to. |

Maybe the BBC are trying to haul their presentation into a Sky style with multiple feeds of information going on at once?
This has been with us for a while on the matchday programmes.
I find it all very irritating.
It''s a classic example of the belief created by US sports coverage that to provide more means that you are being comprehensive.
On the basis that it is impossible at any given moment to concentrate on more than one thing, when a pundit is speaking, what are the producers saying to us by having all this other stuff on the screen? 'We don't want you to listen to him?
They think it's great presentation but to me it's poor marketing where if you are doing your job properly, in my view and my experience, you project a single minded message and focus, not a multitude of inputs every incremental one of which, creates the likelihood of confusion or dissipated communication of your message. |
