It would be good if we could have a list of as many programme related Flikr sites on this thread as possible, and a brief explanation of what they cover.

There's a few I have seen in people's signatures where I have to hunt out a post of theirs to find it as I haven't bookmarked it.

Fire away..............

http://www.flickr.com/photos/macclesfield - Covers pretty much every Macc programme in my collection. Examples from every season back to the war and a few from the 1920s and 1930s. Fair bit of other memorabilia in there too

Mine has mostly Derby progs/memorabilia from the 40s/50s plus lots of old non-league issues (early 1900's onwards), Northampton 65/66, L.Orient 62/63 and FA Amateur Cup Final progs/tickets/associated items.

Will be getting round to uploading scans of all my Derby wartime and pre-war issues over the next couple of weeks.

Tons of other stuff to go on soon, too

My link is below - my collection is Sheffield Wednesday home and away programmes from 1960 onwards and Sheffield Eagles home and away programmes from their inception in 1984.

There's also a lot of tickets from these clubs, and i've also got a small selection of other stuff, England football and Rugby League programmes, Shakhtar Donetsk, Stuttgarter Kickers, Sheffield Hillsborough Hawks and neutral games played at Hillsborough.

Over 1,500 items so far and lots more to come!!

Quick question - did Wednesday issue regularly for reserve games in the 50s/60s?
Rarely seem to see Weds v Derby reserves issues listed anywhere.
I've got 66/7, 69/70 and that's it.

They certainly did throughout the 60s. 50s I don't recall seeing too many but I guess that's due to small crowds and low print runs. You'll find them...happy hunting Sherlock

I've added some Cardiff City programmes to my new Flickr site...

http://www.flickr.com/photos/91630300@N04/sets/72157632367947333/

I'm trying to add as many different cover desings from 1910-1960ish.

They are in a 'set' at the moment. Should I put them in a 'collection'?

They look a little messy. Does anyone know if they can be arrange in some sort of order?

I have used sets for season by season, home and away. I have then put the sets into collections, eg Pre-War, Wartime, Post-War etc.

this seems to give some sort of order

If you want to put the images themselves in some order that is simple. Go to your site put the cursor over the word "YOU" and a drop box opens up- and go to "organise" and after clicking on this it will show all your images on the bottom and a blank screen above-go to "sets and collections" click on that then when you go into your set you can move any image whereever you want it. This same procedure can be used to move sets around in any order. I personally only have sets shown and do not use the collections it is just a matter of individial taste-i prefer it the way i have it as againsst all being condensed as new visitors cannot see everything available to them at one time. Hope this helps

Thanks Leslie, that's a great help - I think I've got them in season order now. Uploaded 25 so far, still going through the 1940s and 1950s.

I have started uploading some of my Doncaster collection to flickr, but am not really sure how it works. If I dont have flickr pro am i limited to the number of pictures i can put on?

If I dont have flickr pro it says I can only see my most recent 200 uploaded programmes, however I was planning to scan all my programmes on, but this would be pointless if I can only see my most recent 200.

Any help/advice on how it works would be appreciated.

Here is my work so far:

Cheers in advance

Hello

I think the cost for a PRO account ofn flickr is peanuts per annum from memory less than 50p a week for limitless uploads and if you were on BT or Yahoo or even maybe some other associated sites there is no charge and you are upgraded to a pro status. I think you are taking photos--nice quality but i would put a Black card behind them to make them stand out out, keep it up!
A thankless task but put a few on in a quite moment, today i have uploaded over 40 items -and there is a good deal of satisfaction once it is doen as it becomes a permanent record. I intend to one day get all my stuff on but there is nearly twice as much to go on than there is on there now now and i am up to around 6800 images to date or so.
To view the site and see the latest uploads visit www.flickr.com/photos/manchesterunitedman1/ or to see the entire collection to date go to www.flickr.com/photos/manchesterunitedman1/sets

Thanks for the info, I was surprised at how quick it took me to do, did it all with the ipad and took the picture with it too, about 1hr to do 40ish uploads! However I will probably now redo with black background. Think it will be a long drawn out task though to put everything on, but it does appeal to me having a visual record.

Will see how I progress !

Cheers
Gavin
