I am looking to start collecting the above clubs programmes (please don't ask why!). Stirling Albion pre 1970 and Clydebank from their inception, also East Stirling/ES Clydebank pre 1975.

If anyone can help please let me know. Back about 25 years ago I used to deal with Allan Grieve who was involved with the Stirling programme. Also I have found 2 dealer who sell 70s progs at 50p, but most other charge more and Ebay seems way over the top. So I need to accumulate as many as I can as cheaply as possible!!

So if someone can point me in the direction of any dealers who sell SCottish progs cheaply please let me know.

Tony

ES Clydebank only played one season ( 64/5).
In the 60s Clydebank only produced 2 programmes , both v Chelsea in August and Sept 67.

Stevie McAneney (Bankie Boy on this forum) might be able to help with Clydebank issues. His website is

http://www.clydebankprogrammesonline.co.uk/

Have you looked at Kath & Pete Rundo's site? (although it doesn't seem to have been updated recently)

Thanks Both.

I have seen the Clydebank programmes website and it is great and from there I saw the link to P & Rundo. Glad to see it's only 50p for 70s progs.

Thanks Stevie. As far as Clydebank I'm looking at programmes from their first few seasons eg up to 74/5 at the moment. I know there is only the occasional home and not too many aways. I found all this out thanks to your website.

I'd recommend Brian at Almondvale Programmes as well for Scottish issues & he does good prices for anyone wanting to buy in bulk; he is very good at helping people complete collections.

How is the collecting coming along so far?

Thanks for that Trevor. i did see that name in a link on the excellent Clydebank programmes site , but forgot about it. I'm focusing on the 60s at the moment but see that most post 70s can be got for 50p and I've had a couple of bundles really cheap so I'm getting there.....slowly. I must await a further mortgage before I buy any more!!

.... and if any Stirling Albion or Clydebank collectors are after any original press photos on straight sale relating to these clubs, I have 12 of the Binos and 4 of the Bankies on my website..........

www.petespicturepalace.co.uk/kick_off.htm

2 examples as here:-

It's worth a try!
