Trade Cards Required

I have finally got around to sorting out my collection of Trade Cards.

Can anyone help me find the following cards:

PALS – Football Series 1922 – card number 12 required

THE MAGNET – Football Teams 1922 – I HAVE Bolton, Chelsea and Preston and I am looking for the other three

THE MAGNET – Football Teams 1923 – I HAVE The Wednesday, Crystal Palace and Scottish International Team and I am looking for the remaining card

TOPICAL TIMES – Football Teams 1924 – Bolton required

D C THOMSON – Famous British Footballers 1921 (Scottish players) – I need J Marshall and Andy Wilson. These are anonymous back cards with “Famous British Footballers – Real photographs” on the reverse i.e. no mention of the issuer. Andy Wilson was also issued with “Adventure” on the reverse but this is part of another set which I already have – hope this makes sense!

Must be clean and in very good condition

Hi mate, unfortunately I cannot help you with your wants list, however I was hoping you could give me advice.
Do you know of a website that lists all Topical Times Cards that were issued? And one for football cards in general, mainly pre-war?

I do not know of any websites that will give you the information you require. Have you tried googling Topical Times and see what comes up?

www.pclarkson.co.uk is a Trade Card dealer and his site will give you a clue to what is in each set but it may not be a complete listing for each set.

As far as reference books are concerned I use:

"Murray's Guide to Cigarette and other trade cards" as a general guide to how many cards are in each set.
"Cartophilic Reference Books - British Trade Index" which lists what cards are in each set BUT Topical Times issues are mostly outside of the scope of the copies I have. The Cartophilic books are quite expensive but very informative if you collect trade cards.

Other members may be able to add to what I have said above.
