Hi

I collect rugby league programmes, and Featherstone Rovers in particular. Although this is a football forum, I read it pretty often as there is always some interesting info and comments on programme collecting in general, ebay, dealers, etc.

So I thought I'd say hello.

Hello Smile

Hello there Fev Rover!!

I'm a big Sheffield Eagles fan and collect Eagles and Wednesday stuff, also England RL and football.

I actually just sold a couple of Gateshead v Fev team sheets on ebay! If I get any more spare Fev stuff i'll give you a shout.

How big is your collection?

P.S - Don't mention the Grand Final!! Crying or Very sad

Sorry about that Senior Wink

To be fair we were due one, and I think your time will come too.

With my Fev progs, I need just 12 programmes back to 1955, which Im chuffed with. Ive been collecting since the mid 1980s.

But before 1955 I have very little stuff, much as I'd like to. The prices can be prohibitive.

How's your Eagles collection?

Eagles are looking pretty good so far, we normally start slowly so i'm feeling pretty confident. Halifax at home on Thursday 29th so that should give us a good indication of how the season will pan out.

As the Eagles have only been around since 1984, i don't have the 50's/pre war stuff problem! I need just 28 programmes from competitive fixtures for a complete set. There are about 10 friendlies although some of these i'm not convinced anything exists.

I don't suppose you (or anyone else you know) has a spare of the following:
Fev v Eagles 2000 NFP
Fev v Eagles 2003 NL Cup

I have Fev v Sheff from 6 Feb 2000, 10 Dec 2000 and 19 Jan 2003. Dont know if these are what you're after.

It will be 6 Feb 2000, and 19 Jan 2003, if those are swaps i'd definitely be interested.

Given that Andy and me are the only two collectors of Eagles programmes I know, welcome to the forum mate.

Is the Featherstone Hotel still open?, haven't been up there for ages

As he pointed out we don't do pre 84 so can't really help you out, sounds a nice collection tho.

Andy send me an update of your list and I'll see if I can help or at least tell you if there was a copy.

Anybody got Whitehaven v Eagles (CC) 28.1.92 Sad

Once again, Fev Rover welcome

Regards, Sharrowblade

PM sent Andy

Hi Sharrowblade. Yes, the Fev Hotel is still open, not that I'd necessarily recommend setting foot in it. Wink

V.nice stuff you have on flickr. I'd never thought about doing something like that, but there's another rainy day project for my Fev collection.

I do envy Eagles fans. Back to 1984 and you're done! Im guessing Sheff Utd is more complicated.

Laughing yes quite, Not the kind of place to pick a fight with anybody.

Thanks for the comments about the flickr collection, slowly getting the Eagles on, and yes Sheff Utd is a bit more time consuming.

All the best sharrowblade

Thanks WBA.

I should've asked the sheffield lads before; do either of you have a spare Sheffield v Featherstone programme from last year, 28 Aug 2011?
