Just noticed that one on tomorrow's Sportingold auction listing at £90-£100.

Seems to have shot up in value unless I'm very much mistaken.

Perhaps BPA have become more collectible.

ebay prices over the last year have been £35 to £55 for this programme, many of sportingold lots are over or under valued. I notice Rochdale v Blackburn league cup semi, last one i saw fetched over £800 about 5 years ago, check the un sold lots and aldershot v bpa will be one of them if not i will be shocked.

It's because the vendor, not the auction house, set the minimum bids. Wearisome at times, when I want to sell items at auction the minimums are always designed to attract bids not deter them.

Chris Williams knows his stuff so it is surprising that he accepts lots at reserves that have little chance of selling - a waste of time all round.

It is not where you start but where you finish that matters.

Even more confusing to see a complete set of 69/0 BPA aways on the same auction list with an estimate of £130-£150.

This, of course, including the Aldershot issue...

the b p a v aldershot prog is a strange one, have seen it sell for well over 100 pounds a few years ago, when things were at the highest, also seen it sell as low as 30 pounds.

and the complete 69/70 aways sold for £150, i appreciate the aldershot had rusty staples, but the south shields sells for 60 plus, lincoln 40 plus, workington 25 plus and many more at 10 plus so i guess the complete season was a good buy for somebody

The last home game for BPA was against us(Scunthorpe). I think I paid about £30 fpr my copy. That one is quite common but still I see it on ebay on a buy it noe for £50-£100. I think it must be on a never ending loop.
