I'm about to start writing another of my 'brief guide' posts for my blog website, this time on Liverpool programmes but seem to be short of information about the pre-war days.

I know that from 1904, even though Liverpool and Everton were now separate clubs they issued shared programmes and continued to do so up to 1934, an interesting initiative bearing in mind the way the clubs split and how they became rivals across Stanley Park.

Can anyone answer any of the following;

Why did they produce a shared programme?

What were the reasons for starting this arrangement and also for finishing it?

What were the start and finish dates / matches?

Which was the first of the stand alone issues which followed?

Does anyone have any visuals of these programmes which I might use via scans (credits will be noted in the post) or is there a tribute site which show the above programmes or other Liverpool issues where I could contact the owner to seek help?

On Ebay in the last few days, there has been a collection of Liverpool programmes (now re-listed) where many significant moments / programmes has been noted for the post 1945 era (Shankly's 1st game) etc

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1814.....EBIDX%3AIT

Thanks in advance for any help on the above and also to anyone / everyone who has looked at my site.

Thanks again, Barry.

Is that a match card or a programme?

With all the above help, as far as visuals are concerned, looks like I'm short of an example from 1910-1920 and 1920-1930, so anything from those decades would be great.

Other examples would be good in the decades already provided, if the design is different.

Mark
Please email me on

[email protected]

I have a scan of a photocopy (ie I don't have the original!) of Everton v Palace FAC 1907 and this system says the 75dpi scan I've done is too large!

So I can email it to you.
Cheers
Pete
