Following the uncertainty over Salisbury City's future, County have cancelled their friendly with them on Sat Aug 2nd.

County will now play a West Ham team at their Little Heath Sports Ground, where their U18 side play.

A couple of good Home games to enjoy....

First game of the new season yesterday (Sunday 7/7/2014) at Grimsby Borough saw a Leeds United XI draw 0-0.

Off to Italy in the morning for two games v FC Gherdeina (Thursday 10/7/2014) and FC Viitorul Constanta (Sunday 13/7/2014). We're struggling to convince them to print programmes for the games, but hopefully there will be at least a team sheet sorted.

The following Saturday (19/7/2014) sees us at Guiseley followed by another Leeds United XI fixture at Corby Town (Wednesday 23/7/2014) and two other first team games at Chesterfield (Saturday 26/7/2014) and Glenavon (Wednesday 30/7/2014) There's one other Leeds United XI game at some point in there as well as a home fixture TBA on Saturday the 2nd of August.

Six new grounds which is a bonus, but the club have / are taking the piss with arranging these and left us less than a week to organise the trip to Italy. As always if anyone is interested in any programmes from the aforementioned games then please don't hesitate to get in touch.

In addition to the above Rovers have arranged a behind closed doors match against Freamunde although the club have confirmed that no programme and/or teamsheet will be issued.

If there are any Peterborough collectors on here, this team also played you a couple of days ago - was anything issued for that match?

Make that just 2 friendlies now with the trip to Spain being cancelled.

Unlike last year there was no programme issued for the Penrith v Blackpool friendly.

There was a teamsheet but this was not readily available.

Funny that half the Blackpool team were called triallist.

Still, they did manage a 4-0 win which was way above expectations.

Under 18s friendly

Blackpool played Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday morning (22nd) at YMCA Lytham.

As usual with fixtures played here or at Squires Gate training ground, nothing was issued.

Everton U21s played at Wrexham last night, although with their pitch being re-laid we played at Cefn Druids ground, The Rock.

Great little setup, everyone friendly, Sports & Social Club for a beer before. 1100 people there so a good turnout for a ground which has a rock on the far side !

Won 4-1 anyway, some good youngsters for the future.
