55 years ago (1959) and a 1st Division fixture between Manchester City and Blackpool.
The programme is a very good 16 page issue with plenty of content and includes a nice action photo of George Farm.
Manchester City were down at the wrong end of the table coming into this fixture whereas Blackpool were in a comfortable 7th place.
The match went to form with Blackpool winning 2-0, the goals coming from Durie and Perry.

68 years ago (1946) and a Football League North fixture between Blackpool and Grimsby Town.
The programme is a small size 4 page issue with just the team line-ups and forthcoming fixtures in the centre and an advert for RHO Hills on the back.
Blackpool won 5-3 with the Seasider’s goals scored by Mortensen 3 and Blair 2.

Yet another Wembley appearance for Bishop Auckland....and another win. This time, by three goals to one.
Attendance: 90,000 Receipts: £28,113 plus £2,000 TV rights. Each club received £3,873-16-10d.
Being amateurs, of course, the players would have seen none of this money. Yes.

The 1956 Amateur Cup Final replay at Ayresome Park - and a ticket for one of the posh seats to watch it.
Bishop Auckland won 4-1 on the day.
The programme seems to be a standard 'Boro' issue for that season.

1972 FA Trophy Final, this day 42 years ago.
As Stafford won 3-0, perhaps the celebration dinner-dance for the Barnet players was a rather muted affair?
At least they all gave their autographs freely for whoever originally owned this menu.

66 years ago and off to Highbury.
Derby beat league leaders Arsenal 2-1. Jack Stamps and Billy Steel with the goals. 48,677 in attendance. Bit of a let-down for the home side as they could have secured the title had they won this game.
The 8 page programme is virtually ad-free and is like a mini-version of their pre-war issue. Plenty reading and a superb art-deco cover.
On page 8, supporters are encouraged to renew their season ticket for 48/9.....most expensive is priced at £9 and nine shillings. That would get you about 6 minutes of one modern-day match!

Back to 1999 and Lynn host Crawley Town in the Southern League Premier Division. Lynn won this match 2-0 in front of 672.
This has a fair amount of adverts interspersed with stats and info about the club and the league

The 1964 Amateur Cup Final and the day's "Programme of Arrangements" for those in the posh seats.
Also a few tickets for the match - note the "complimentary" one is signed by Denis Followes. The ordinary tickets signed by the stadium's Chairman.
Crook Town beat Enfield 2-1 on the day, their second success in a three year period.

Back to 2002 and Lynn are at home to Dorchester Town in the first leg of the final of the Southern League Cup. Lynn lost this leg 0-1 in front of 535.
Lynn were struggling for goals at home, a snippet from the match report " The trio of second-half streakers showed
more energy and enthusiasm than some of the Lynn players, who could have easily gone into the return leg more than one goal in arrears."
