77 years ago [1937] and, having met one another at the Baseball Ground 24 hours earlier, Huddersfield and Derby do it all again, this time at Leeds Road.

Unusual programme in that it is square-shaped, the cover (on thicker paper than the contents) being without any match details.
20 pages of club notes, league tables and copious advertising for your 2d.

As can be read in the scan, a schoolboys' Cup Final preceded the league game. Mount Pleasant playing Goitfield Council for the Crowther Cup.

20,727 in attendance. Huddersfield won the league game 2-0. I've no idea which set of schoolboys were celebrating, though.

Don't often see Huddersfield pre-war issues come up these days.

60 years ago (1954) and a 1st Division fixture between Blackpool and Preston North End.

This was a Wednesday afternoon 3.00 o’clock kick off and the programme is just a single sheet.

Blackpool won 4-2 Thumbs Up with goals from Taylor (2), Durie and Mortensen.

The attendance was just under 17,000 which I suppose was not too bad considering the kick off time, but it would have been a lot higher if the game had been played on a Saturday afternoon.

Back to 1981 and Lynn travel to Buxton in the Northern Premier League.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw. Although nearly at an end, this was the first League meeting this season between these two teams!!

In 1991 a Showbiz 11 took on a combined Bristol City/Rovers team in aid of Oxfam.
£2.50 with 16 pages.

One of several floodlit friendlies against Scottish opposition at the Baseball Ground in season 53/4.

4 page programme issued - the only reading material being pen-pictures of the St.Mirren players.

The novelty was, perhaps, wearing off somewhat as only 4,135 attended to watch a 2-1 win for the Paisley side.
