I have put the foundations of my site up on line now, have a look and let me know what you think, all feedback will be greatly received.

Thanks for all the images, they will appear gradually, the away section of the fifties seasons live will be similar to the 2003/04 to 2009/10 seasons. This will take some time.....

anyway the address:

www.leedsunitedprogrammeguide.co.uk

Of course, if you want a link from my site then please contact me via the contacts on the site, if you send the address, an image of your page and then a brief description of the site and I will place a link asap.

Memo to admin: the football programme forum will be linked (100%)

Looks great Kenny, good job! I hope to emulate you one day with a Derby County version. Just need to move all my programmes from Derby to Leeds, buy a house with a spare room so they are easy to access and buy a scanner first.

Hi Jamie,

The site is not from one of the 'free' builders, I built the site using code and a package called Microsoft Expression.... similar to Dream-Weaver. To be honest I didn't know I had it on my machine so if you are running Office 2007 you may have it included.

I got the idea from the superb Rangers history site and this gave me a starting point, e.g. the basic layout of the seasons and it developed from there....

I have to pay for the domain name, but at least it gives me freedom to choose the actually name as opposed to having www.something.webs.com or a similar sort of tag on. I also pay for the hosting as I do not have my own server, but the benefits of this are simple.... the site looks exactly how I want it too and no adverts from the hosting company.

All in all its about 30 quid a year, which is less than a pint a month so for me it's worth it, you never know where it could lead etc.

I have a few ideas, but will keep them under my hat for the time being....
Wink

I have now added seasons 1988-89 to 2000-01.

If you have any images for Leeds away games in this period then I would welcome them and include them on my site.

I would be grateful for other seasons too, if you have sent images already I have them stored and ready to be added once the pages are developed.

As always, images are gratefully received and most welcomed, these can be sent to [email protected]

Also, if you have a similar site then I would happily exchange links with you.

Feedback always appreciated

Smile

I have now completed the away section for 2011-12 and have started the 2012-13 season page, I have the recent league cup game and all first team PSF's on there (3 reserves to come).

Will hopefully complete the gaps soon (ish) and start adding aways, I still have scans that people have kindly sent, much appreciated, and will put them on once the home sections are complete.

If anybody has other images involving Leeds that I haven't got then I would be very grateful for them.

Also, if any new (or old) members have a similar site and we not yet exchanged a link let me know and I will see what I can do.

Just a quick update on my website.

Have now added further images to the website. I have placed all the home images I have onto the website apart from a few.
I need to place scanned images from 2009/10 home games to replace the camera taken pictures currently in place.
I want to add a page for the 46/47 home issues I have, plus tinker with the pre-war pages.

Apart from the above I have completed up to as far as I can go and seek help from fellow members. If anyone has images involving Leeds home or away that are not on the website I would be very grateful.

Could anyone willing to help send images to [email protected]

Kind Regards and thanks in advance

An update on some recently added pages to my website.

I have now added individual pages back to and including the 1940-41 season, some wonderful pictures of war-time Leeds homes included - thanks to Phil Winder for providing these for me - very much appreciated.

I also have an image for the front cover of each season from 1923-24 through to 1939-40 in the pre-war section (except one)- thanks once again to Phil for these.

I have added a large quantity of Leeds aways issues between 1945-46 and current season, there are still gaps - I would welcome any scans you may have of the missing programmes.

I have added friendly issues for games I am aware of up to and including 1989-90 season, I am to add the remaining seasons shortly, any information regarding friendlies pre 1990 I have not included is very much welcomed.

I aim to add reserves at some stage, I have 200+ images so have the foundation to start with.
Another future idea is to add a section for testimonials and the FA Youth Cup - watch this space.

Finally, if you have a similar website and would like to share a link please get in touch and I will be happy to oblige.

Hope you enjoy the site.

This weekend I have been working on my website and came across a fantastic open source tool called lightbox2...

This has allowed me to put a small image next to some programmes and with a click of a button the team sheet for this programme appears.

I have only added teamsheets for one season at the moment but aim to add more as time goes on, the team sheets can be seen on this season:
http://www.leedsunitedprogrammeguide.co.uk/Seasons/201314.html

Hope you like it.
