After redesigning our website we've had our best year. So as we look forward to our 15th year we can afford to have our first ever January sale.

World cup tickets, fa cup final programmes, football magazines everything reduced by 30% - Some items are now well under what we paid but rather then mess about we are looking for a real good clean out before we move our stock to a new storage place. We also hope to reduce the number of items we have more then once.

I do have scotish programmes, they are just not yet on the site. One of the reasons for reducing prices 30% is to give me breathing space to spend more time building the online stock.

Seems some people are finding what they want, sold 100s of items in the first ten days. I'm so glad I gave the discount to my customers rather trying to do this on ebay and pay them.

I was joking mate,it took 30 secs to look, but these days I have to go to people who specialise in Scottish. I'm glad you're doing well, selling programmes is not easy. A dealer put 400 Celtic & 50 Rangers in auction and they never got a bid,he brought them to my place and despite protests,he wouldn't accept payment. He is a really nice guy and i've bought from him many times but I think he was a bit fed up. I can't punt the Celtic ones though. Laughing

It's no problem, I don't mind people, to old to worry about what people say.

We've talking about the football programme market on the facebook group. It's a strange one at the moment. I'm guess people who deal in only programmes are finding it hard unless they are really organsised and know exactly what they have. The seems to be very large bulk stock dumps going on every day. Bloke on the group wants to sell 12,000. But I think the are nieche areas really doing well.

In the end we are all the same, I think we should support each other.

I think that generally happens, there are so many people have helped me out and I have helped others. I think people end up with so many doubles that selling becomes part of being a collector and if you're not in the business as a dealer, giving cheap deals and even giving bundles away often happens.

I think we have get ready for a change. So many people have moved to ebay and to rely on it but it's not the bargain it once was for sellers. I think more and more people are seeing it just as the place for things they are not sure about the value.

Things expected to fetch under a fiver are not being listed in the numbers they used to. Most of them are now from ebay shop owners who can list till sold or for 30 days. The are a few who are happy to list one at a time to get the free listing and that's about it.

The days of hundreds and hundrads £5-£20 items listed at 99p start are coming to an end as are the days of heavy low value items.

Aye, I'm glad i'm getting past the run of the mill items because i'm fed up with the bulk.I have had an idea of selling cheap bundles by advertising in my local newsagent which is in quite a busy place. I don't have what it takes to be a business seller,I get on with people and enjoy a bit of banter,I am fair with people but I get a bit upset when people accuse me of being dishonest and a wiser man than me would hold his tongue and move on. I actually did that last time someone had a go at me on ebay..........eventually.

I think I was like you at one time but my first job from school sorted me out. Went around some very posh houses, met some customers who thought they had been sent to earth to be awkward and also had to deal with professional snooker players who were never wrong. Learnt to weigh the cost of giving an opinion by the time I was 21.

Now it's more about keeping people happy and getting the repeat orders as a result. My most awkward customer last year was my best customer in terms of income.

But it's just as much a problem to me when customers don't comunicate and I'm left in the dark. This happens most often when an item is ordered but the is a mistake in the stock level so I can't send it. The is normally something I can do to help or at least explain but I don't get the chance apart from sending them a message. I'm left wondering if these people were happy and if they would come back. It all adds to the stress on a day with no orders.

These are the only general programmes I have listed on the site at the momment. When I built the new design I had to decide what to list first and we all know general programmes & tickets don't sell as well as cup finals. In fact I've never traded in general programmes and never go out to buy them. The ones I have I had to buy to get the cup finals, sf etc

Saying that I do have about 20,000 general programmes in boxes here and one of the reasons I'm doing the sale is to generate spare cash to get someone in to manage those either on this site or another. I also have to move all my stock so want to trim it down before I do.

Sorry if I disapointed you. But, lets say watch this space Wink

I would like to express my thanks the members who have contacted me on this forum via PM. Not so much with problems but with questions prior to ordering.

Still, this leads me to think perhaps I need to add some more information or move whats there to a more prominate place - although space is always limited.

But this feedback is priceless to me so feel free to contact me on the site, via PM here, facebook or even twitter. I'll always do my best to help in any way I can.
