What's wrong with one collector asking other collectors with perhaps more knowledge for an estimate of an item's value?

It's only banter. This particular question makes no sense unless he is just alerting other sellers, which I doubt. dangerman is a serial timewaster which is the reason for not taking his posts seriously. He's one of my favourite members btw, some of his posts are classics.

No problem at all, but some people get fed up after the 1,0000 time.
If you think that's fine, then I have a 1977 Leeds v Liverpool programme signed by Noel Edmonds. What is it worth ? It's not mine. It belongs to a man who lives down the street.

Fair enough. It's just become tiresome seeing recent other posts being negative towards others or people coming out with 'banter' which they appear to reckon is funny but to others, isn't. This isn't aimed at you, Eck, but how about a separate thread for crap banter from forum members about others? Wink

Stoater = Cracker or beauty (like Frank Carson's "that's a cracker"),the literal l meaning of the verb stoat is to bounce,in Scottish vernacular.
