71 years ago (1942) and a North Regional League fixture between Blackpool and Rochdale.

This was a very good season for the Seasiders.

They won the league winning 16 out of the 18 games (losing just one) and in doing so scored 93 goals. They also won the League War Cup (against Sheffield Wednesday) and the North v South decider (against Arsenal).

They won this match 5-0.

The programme is a standard 4 page issue with the teams in the centre and nothing on the back cover.

1972 and a home Premier Midweek Floodlight League match against local rivals, Slough Town, which ended in a 3-1 win for the visitors. Slough finished 2nd in the qualifying group, Maidenhead 3rd, Hayes 1st. Professionally printed 12 page programme which was certainly ahead of it's time with regard to most non-league issues. However, it was extremely costly and hence from January 1st until the end of the season programmes were issued for just two home games.

Our Chairman that season, Len Keable, ran a local hotel and mixed with celebrities of that era - hence this article in the Slough programme... whether or not any of those listed actually ever set foot in the ground, I know not, but very much doubt.

31 years ago and a second round tie in the FA Sunday Cup between Undeb United (from Cardiff) and Bridgewater-based Ollis Transport Combined.

As far as I'm aware, the rules of the competition stated that clubs had to issue a programme as part of the entrance fee for spectators and, as a result, it's a bit of a goldmine for we "one-per-club" collectors.

Undeb issued a 4 page programme on the day, a few notes on the two sides on page 2, lineups on page 3 and a handful of adverts on the back page.

The tournament that season was won by Eagle FC who hailed from Warrington.
