Sorry for coming in late on this thread
I believe i have information that may help with this question.
Another Manchester United collecting member has suggested it is a "no cover" programme for sure, because it has been in a binder and Bradford City were known for producing programmes with ornate covers.
He is correct on both statements
HOWEVER
On this case i have compelling evidence that i believe shows him to be incorrect.
I have other Bradford City v Manchester United programmes from around this era and having inspected them i would comment as follows
1908/09- This was only a 4 page crude card and certainly not remotely like the programme we later expected
1909/10-THE SEASON IN QUESTION
Please look at the image supplied by Barry and i will guide you round the important information.
It is certainly ex bound volume and it was not uncommon for bound volumes to have the covers removed
It is New Series so possibly the stylish cover has not yet been developed.
That said the top part is still fairly ornate for what is a new development in programme producing.
Don't forget Bradford City had only been formed in 1903/04.
They won promotion to division in 1907/08
The illustration shows everything you would exect on the cover of a programme.
Price,date,programme number publisher
So let's move on
I was tempted by my cue from another member not to post any illustrations but i think it is important
As you can see this is the next season(Bradford City v Manchester United 1910/11)
Again ex bound volume but again has everything ir price, programme number, publisher, date
This now has the ornate cover we expect and you would be hard pressed to convince me this is missing a cover.
I also have Bradford City v Manchester United from 1912/13 and the same comments apply
If you accept the 1910/11 as a full programme(and you would be hard pressed not to) and the same comment for the 1912/13 then you have to conclude that Bradford City bound the programme complete and as such the 1909/10 ,is in my opinion a complete programme
I would be happy if somebody can show me any Bradford City home programme from 1910/11 or 1912/13 with a different cover from my own collection.
It would be a shame to miss the opportunity for me to invite you to view the worlds largest Bradford City v Manchester United pre war collection at

Check out the relevant season to view the covers of these programmes.
I hope that helps Barry
