A preview of the 65/6 Rams-United game, Leslie.....might be of interest?

I've typed "part two" here - not sure where part one has disappeared to within Flickr!

Great stuff as ever, Leslie.......especially the interior shots of the old souvenir shop!

I've uploaded for you 6 photos of an empty Old Trafford I took back in June 1981. Might be of interest? Though I'm no great shakes at photography!

Nice to see terracing, though.

Crackin Images Steve, brings it all back, you soon forget when progress arrives, United developed the ground in the 1990's then added the third tier and that is only recently in comparison yet hard to recall what it looked like so images like these that you have taken and others all bring it back but my favourite Old Trafford image ironically has nothing to do with United playing there!

In December of 2007 i found FLICKR by pure accident and i added just 12 images. During 2008 i added all year just 86 more images.

At the start of 2009 i got the inspiration and then decided that i would start to upload everything that i had and at that time and realised it would take a very long time, years and years in fact, well i was not in any particular rush so it could become another extension of my hobby to share what i have, in fact a chronicle of all the stuff and i know that since that time it has acted as an inspiration to others on this forum and there are some magnificent collections also regarding Manchester United, both Sheffield Clubs, Everton, Derby County, England and for any i have missed out i apologise but the hour is late.

Today, the site hit 1,000,000+ views and i am very pleased and proud that all those 100's of hours since 2009 when i got my back into it and up to today I have managed to upload around 7,700 images with over 300+ catergories, the only daunting task is that i still have another 13,000 to go and i am looking to buy more, it is a life's work in progress.

Still if anyone feels the need to make derisory comments then that is up to them so whether or not any of those persons has a dick on their heads- i have a collection with a million+++ views and a lot of people get pleasure from seeing the items from all over the World.

Just a little reminder that if you want to view the latest items on a page by page basis then go to www.flickr.com/photos/manchesterunitedman1/ or if you prefer to see everything all at one time then it is www.flickr.com/photos/manchesterunitedman1/sets
either way just click on any image.

As the Spanish waiter used to tell us about the "FACTS" whilst he resided on these shores, you cannot get to this level unless there is sufficient interest to start with and aint that a fact!.

Latest update

a lot of new items have been uploaded from 1902 until the present day over the last few weeks and are proving very popular indeed.

Views topped the 1 million mark on the 29th July and as of tonight have now well passed the 1.2 million.

8000 images are now uploaded with another stack soon to go on for the remainder of September.

Here is an example of the very last away match in 1902 that Newton Heath played when they visited Burslem Port Vale.

Programmes from the recent United Tour to the Far East, Austrailia and Sweden plus all sorts of associated items from the tour-a good mix from Pre-War to the present day.
