Okay as 2012 comes to a close which one item on ebay, to quote the Sage of Cambridge, Mr Gas, do you wish would 'F**k right off'. You know the one, its never going to sell, week after week it rots away on ebay, its been there all year, until eventually there comes a moment of weakness when you consider buying it yourself just to get rid or ask the seller the simple question 'Why'.

It doesn't have to be expensive. Just annoying.

Here's my offering for the Blades.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SHEF.....4d018e94a4

Admittingly, it has been downgraded from Excellent to good.
Maybe one day, but I think I'll probably see United win at wembley before then.

Many thousands of items from this seller would qualify - it's just the contradiction in the title that is so very annoying.

Hey up Danny, you are of course correct, and the said seller or three in this case do indeed deserve to be doused in petrol and set alight as they also blight United's section and I daresay every other clubs.

We all knew who they work for and this is just an example of the s**t that cannot sell at auction that gets foisted upon ebay at over inflated prices. £5 for Sheffield United teamsheets. Thanks lads.

However, I did ask for a solitary item and not seller Smile

This seller has been trying to shift this for £12+ for at least 18 months (but seems longer). I got mine for 99p and there has been a number for sale (that didnt sell) at 99p running along side this one over the months.

When will the penny finally drop....will it ever!

If this clown gets a starting bid on this, I will buy my Grandson the Millwall shirt he wants.
I have lost count off the amount of times he has listed this programme.

On the face of it, this one doesn't appear too overpriced for 1953, but I suspect there were something like 100,000 programmes printed for this game as it's a permanent fixture on EBay and about every dealer's catalogue, too.
If those who are trying to sell it realised this, they'd reduce the price to about 10p!

This one is a strange case - I think a large number of them must have been found at some stage as, like you say, every dealer has one and most auction lots featuring a selection of 1950s programmes will usually have one included !!!

As far as I know there was a Programme dealer from the late 1950`s to the early 1970`s (well before my time!) by the name of Savage, and as far as I know a family member of his sold off most of his collection/stock in programme monthly around 6 or 7 years ago (I think they are still selling off some 1970`s programmes now) and within his stock he had multiples of the following programmes no name but a few;

Bristol Rovers v Derby County 1953,
Plymouth Argyle v Rotherham 1956,
Crystal Palace v International Managers X1 1956,
Millwall v Rotherham 1955, Millwall v Charlton Kent Cup 1956 (+ other Millwall from the 1950`s),

So this is why there are so many of the above programmes from the 1950`s (in Excellent condition) on Ebay or dealers lists, due to their availability they are worth no more than a pound or 2.

Would be interesting to know if someone on here (Dealer or collector) could give a bit more information or knew (Mr) Savage.

There was an R.A.Savage used to run adverts regularly in the Football Monthly magazine back then.

1950 ENGLAND v WALES (AT ROKER PARK, SUNDERLAND)
QUITE SINMPLY THE RAREST POST-WAR ENGLAND HOME PROGRAMME.

This maybe true, but since this programme was listed there must have been about a dozen turned up far cheaper. Yet the price has not moved a single penny.

Wish someone would tell this seller that 'UEL Heimspiel' means UEFA Europa League home match, and is not the name of a German team !

http://www.ebay.c.uk/itm/190768879901

Not surprised it hasn't sold despite several attempts Smilek
