Yes it's all domestic league, cup & friendlies and all postponed issues bar 4. I also have the vast majority of friendlies played abroad, but there are a few in the 50s which have eluded me thus far.

The 1 I need is 46/7 Chesterfield v. Burnley so if anybody has a spare.... Very Happy

Managed to pick-up the last Sporting Mirror needed to complete the collection, now have them all in very good condition from the first issue in 1947 to the last one in 1951.

The next job is to get them bound, although expensive it's worth it so they can be displayed next to my other bound collections and therefore perused instead of being in piles in a cupboard!!

Sports Reporters the next ambition, need around 14 to complete so if anyone has any spare please let me know, thank you

1946/47 Charlton v Leeds. This now completes 1st team (not postponed) homes back to the war. Just those elusive 4 postponements to go.

B36 v Linfield 2012 champions league. Very few came back from the Faroe Islands so before my trip last month to watch the Republic of Ireland I made numerous calls and sent loads of emails trying to track one down without success. None had appeared on ebay.

I finally got it after a day and a half asking everyone from the editor, club captain, club officials, the printers and the prime minister of the Faroes (I didn't realise who he was and he is also a former goalkeeper for the Faroes and B36's rivals HB). Nobody seems to bother with programmes there.

I never spent as much time or asked as many people for a programme before.

One appeared on ebay from a German seller and sold yesterday for only £3.20.

1939 FA Cup Semi Final...Wolves v Grimsby @ Old Trafford. Smile

An item that I never thought I would own...due to the prices it used to fetch a few years ago.. Shocked There has been quite a few listed on Ebay recently and it eventually came into my affordability range. Nod

Now for the 1937 Arsenal v Grimsby @ Huddersfield

Just received Leeds v Blackburn 49/50 through the post, ordered yesterday in my hands today, excellent service from Michael Hewitt.

This now completes the homes for that season, chuffed to bits to complete it.

Still about 30 on my wants list to complete league and cup homes back to and including 47-48, then its friendlies and the dreaded postponed issues.

Congrats Kcs seems like a realy nice collection you have there, i had a prob when obtaining a Leeds v Portsmouth 57/58 (the dreaded Rusty Staples ) think i purchased about four issues before i was satisfied with the condition(all my progs must be in near "mint" condition has pos.
Did a deal with Michael Hewitt a couple of years ago re a Blackburn v Leeds 59/60 that i was finding it realy hard to obtain ,realy good service.

Cheers Phil, appreciate the kind words. The collection is building up nicely, but the more you spend the more the gaps seem to appear.... Guess that's because the search becomes wider and deeper.

The dreaded rusty staple.... Its does seem to be common in the Leeds 50's issues and not always described that well by the seller. I seem to remember that Leeds Pompey 57/58 was one of the more difficult issues from that season, Manchester United being the hardest, this still sells above £75.

The Blackburn v Leeds 59/60 as we have mentioned before is a tricky issue to obtain.

The catalogue was issued last week. The link below has a link to a PDF of the catalogue.
I normally get several requests for this so thought I'd upload it to a central location for all to download.

Was this expensive? The Leeds v Wolves issue from the same time (fuel emergency) is currently on an offers list at a minimum of £400....

I'd imagine a complete collection of that weekends fixture list would be worth a few quid.

I have seen the Leeds v Wolves fetch just over £2500, at £400 is an absolute bargain. I think i saw the Stoke v Chelsea on Sportingold stall today, an unsold item from the last auction estimate £240 to £250.

£240 from Chris Williams. It has previously gone for £500 - £700. The Stoke v Arsenal fuel emergency issue sold last year for £600 Sad

It's on Hewitt's list Clive, it has had repairs though.

Finally obtained the elusive Mansfield v Doncaster league cup fixture from 1980, I have been searching for this for 4 years ! This completes my Donny collection home & aways back to my birth in 76. Spotted it on ebay within 20mins of listing, start price 50p, offered the seller £20 to remove from sale, which he kindly did.

Have all homes back to 70, not sure what to do next ! Do I go for the aways too?? Or homes from before 70?? Decisions decisions !!

Searching for friendlies from any era as well.
