What a find Smile
The pre war Newcastle programmes despite some damage will fetch 3 figures each no problem. It would be lovely for forum members to see scans, plus have a chance to own one.
The post war items you have mentioned are easy to find the cup final souvenir probably a tenner and the 1973 a couple of pound.
Good luck mate,
Holtie Thumbs Up

Thanks for all the replies / PM's so far, all advice is greatly appreciated.

I'll get some scans up tonight for everyone to see.

At the minute they aren't for sale (don't know what the owner intends to do with them yet!), but if that situation changes I'll be sure to let you all know.

I hate to say it, but the Ian Porterfield looks terrible, nothing like what i have seen before. I'm not saying it is fake, but since his sad passing, i have noticed some very dodgy looking signatures. I had scores of the 73 cup teams signatures when i was a lad, and a lot of the signatures i see now are not really consistent of what i remember. Of course it could have been signed when he was in a hurry or when he was ill. Anyway, the Newcastle pre - war programmes are stunning. Thanks for posting Easy

From what I've been told, the programmes haven't seen the light of day for years, and I have no reason to suspect that the person would put a fake signature on it.

My guess would be it's been signed when he's stood up. I've had plenty of signatures from Sunderland players outside the ground in the past, and in all honesty they are a shambles and could say absolutely anything.

I would offer a very decent price for the Arsenal copy. Auction house will take 20 percent of any sale and take time to pay out. Always worth thinking about if looking for a quick, cash in hand, sale.... Cool

Considering Newcastle won the title in 1927 beating Huddersfield into 2nd place that one isn't too shabby either. I suspect championship winning Newcastle homes aren't too common.

Arsenal are very well collected so that should be attractive. Everton are also well collected.

I'd advise doing a deal with the likes of Sportingold on fees if you wish to sell them.

Very difficult to estimate their value but certainly a few hundred pounds each for the prewar at a minimum.

I was supposed to meet with the owner of the programmes on Monday to let him know of some rough estimates but never saw him.

Once I know his plans I'll let everyone know. Sorry for the delay!
