Forget Best ever hero. What about your worst ever player. To be honest i have to give this some thought. That many to chose from, i could have nightmares for the next couple of nights.

Thomas Brolin at Crystal Palace still gives me nightmares - he was so overweight Palace got two players for the price of one.

This is a common topic between my mates and myself whilst travelling to away games, picking our all time worst team. Having watched Wrexham for 40 years there are hundres to choose form.

I have a vivid recollection of one game he played for Palace. He got a head wound which was bandaged up and then later in the game the ball hit him in the head and knocked the bandage off Very Happy I think he had to go off to have it seen to for a second time!

1.Andy Pettefer (remember he let 6 in at Barnsley)
2.Sebastian Schemmell (remember him)?
3 Boris Zivkovic (probably Harrys worst signing)
4. Tony Dobson ( a fratton legend)
5. Chris Burns (loads of effort but no quality)
6. Kenny Black (very poor Hearts signing)
7. Luke Nightingale (1 good game i think)
8.Ian Baird (made Nightingale look like Messi)
9. Rory Allen (what was that about)
10 Milan Baros (best years had gone)
11.David Hillier (useful for unloading the coach)
every club in the land has 1 of these and there will be fans who strongly disagree with some of my selections but thats what its all about eh?

From my personal Wednesday point of view

3. Kim Olsen
A striker from Denmark, he played quite a few games and never even looked like scoring. Slow, poor touch and poor finishing. Amazingly now plays in the Danish top flight and appears to be relatively successful.

2. Ola Tidman
Swedish goalkeeper who couldn't catch a cold, and wasn't much better at shot stopping. Managed to concede 4 goals in a 20 minute appearance in a friendly, and when we lost to Chesterfield away due to a few more clangers, he remains the only Wednesday player that i've seen our own fans throw coins at. What's more incredible is that he was signed by Chris Turner...who used to be a goalkeeper

1. Chris Carr
Only saw this guy twice and that was three times too many. The shiny headed centre half arrived from Newcastle's reserves telling us that he was the man, he had a point to prove and he'd be a stalwart of our defence for years. Came on against Luton when we were 2 up and we lost 3-2. The next week against QPR, a Rangers player put in a hopeless cross and headed straight towards him on the edge of the area. He went to put a big boot through it, sliced it straight over his shoulder and into the roof of the net. Was last seen struggling to make the Newcastle Blue Star line up.

For QPR

Devon White, tall gangly striker
Steve Slade, skinny striker
Marcus Bent, over-age striker
Mark Hateley, crocked past it striker
Alessandro Pellicori, pellican look-alike striker

In fact QPR have always had sh-ite strikers except Clive Allen, Paul Furlong, Sir Les Ferdinand, and now Cisse looks promising.
Sir Stan Bowles wasn't an out an out striker but he was good. I've gone off topic now......

Rory Gregoir was the first black player to play for Sunderland. A striker he was just awful. He missed sitter after sitter when we were pushing for promotion.
Looking back over the years, i fill uncomfortable at the crowds reactions towards him. After all, he only played nine games (one goal) before an injury finished him off. I like to think he got so much stick because he was crap and not because he was black and crap.
Years later another black player came along and became a much loved legend, Gary Bennett, and all that stupid stuff stopped for good....

Gus Ceaser is one of the first players I remember looking, as already said, out of his depth, with the prime example being the 88(?) Littlewoods Cup Final.

Be here all night listing City's so will throw Lee Bradbury forward.

Marco Boogers of West Ham is worth a mention.

When Phil Brown was derby manager he loaned a player from Bolton called Blessing Kaku.

I'm not sure he qualifies as an actual football player! Although looking back it's pretty incredible how he managed to get a game in the Premier League by basically lying!
