Well... i think it will break certain places so it depends how much you worrry about that. It would also mean you couldnt import your data into a new version if one was released.

Id save a copy of the spreadsheet and try deleting the non relevant parts of it and see how you get on...

Could ToffeeDan and Craig's Instructions be made a sticky at the start of this post for us Newbies?
Glad I read ToffeeDan's tips before laboriously typing in the opponents each year!!

Cracking spreadsheet, just spent the last couple of days inputting my Doncaster collection back to 76, which is virtually complete with 2 exceptions.
Couple of questions though:
1, On the HT/AT tabs is there any way to include more teams horizontally?, I think it takes upto 100-110 ish however due to Doncaster's up and down nature and a 5 year stay in the conference there aren't enough positions to include all teams.
2. Also is there any plans to include Ass Mem/Freight Rover/LDV's etc etc and head it Ass Members in the competition descriptors?. There are seasons when Doncaster played in the Conference and we played in LDV's/Endsleigh Trophy/FA Trophy/FA Cup/County Cup. I started putting LDV/Autowindscreens etc in as league trophy, but when we dropped into the conference I had to change and put them under Full Members Cup, due to the Endsleigh League Trophy. Just wanted to show them all as seperate competitions.

Cheers
Gavin

Its taken a few hours, but I've got it, i am only on Windows XP, and I realised that you can only read/use it in EXCEL, which comes with a Windows Office package, which I have downloaded on a 60 Free Trial !

Not sure what will happen after the trial runs out !

i could end up putting all my data on it, then not being able to access it !

Still need HELP Crying or Very sad

This spreadsheet is excellent. Came across it while looking for an access database for the same thing!

One thing i'd like to know is how do i add rows in between fixtures i've already entered? I've tried but i think it messes with the calculations of league games etc. Is it possible?

I've tried inserting cells as you normally would in excel but it doesn't like it.

Where can I get training on working with Excel ?
Don't get me wrong its brilliant, but being 'self taught' its a little frustrating.

Buy one of those "Excel for Dummies" books, it worked for me.
I used it to create a fantasy football league workbook using formulas and macros.[/quote]
